I've been going to MXCo for almost two years now and am surprised at the bad reviews on here. I've never had a negative experience, both the food and the drinks are amazing and produced with higher quality ingredients that you usually expect from mexican restaurants in NY. My fiancee is mexican and is a bit picky about what she will consider good mexican food and she loves it (although she says nothing in NY will ever match the mexican restaurants in her home town of Houston TX) she finds MXCo to be the best the UES and possible NY has to offer.

I had the the worst experience of my life in that Mexican restaurant. the food was little and uneatable, the wine ( chardonnay) did taste horrible. and on top of that it was overpriced. i also talked with the HM and she was extremely rude ( she answer me "my customer likes it very much"). I will never come back there!!!!!

My husband and I visited here a few weeks ago. The atmosphere reminded me so much of a Chili's in a suburban strip mall, complete with lots of fat people and kids. I ordered a sangria at the bar and I'm quite certain there was no alcohol in it. The food was okay, nothing special, but the portions were really small. I don't remember what the bill was, but whatever it came out to, we paid too much. Don't bother!!

Definitely check this place out if your in the neighborhood. They do a daily happy hour and the margaritas are delicious. I think they squeeze the fruit for each margarita. I ordered some food at the bar too. The nachos were a guilty and yummy pleasure! The tacos did look small, but my friend said an order was plenty of food. There wasn't much of a crowd when we were there- it was a bit early, but I could see it being a young, hip crowd. They have tvs at the bar, a good looking staff and the music was fun. It's a pretty laid back place and I would definitely go back with a group of friends. It's a great alternative to the frat party down the street.

This was an amazing experience for me, and if u take a look in the bar, you will see that THIS IS NOT A CHILDREN PLACE! They have a great atmosphere, service and food, the perfect to go with a date or friends. I liked the restaurant that was there before (Vynl), but the children running around the place is the reason I stopped going. I have children, but they know how to act in restaurants. I know, some people will be upset with the fact that this is not a children place, but the majority of us, applaud you. The service was good and i loved the food presentation. The tacos were a little too small for my taste but very flavorful. The Queso Flameado and the Fajitas are amazing! There was a wait list but was worth it to wait.I will definitely be back soon. My favorite new restaurant.

I wanted to like this place, but had a very negative dining experience there. I've never seen portions sizes so small. I ordered the steak fajitas and the other person at dinner ordered the chicken fajitas. There was about 4oz of meat on our plates -- no joke. It was a terrible value and the food was really just average. We raised the concern to the waitress and ultimately to the manager, but she smirked and said they focused on quality. She spoke to the chef and he commented that portion sizes might be small, but declined to remedy the issue. I don't think this new place will last. Stick to Mustangs, Cilantro and/or Canyon Road for good basic UES Mexican food. Pass on MXco -- and it's a shame because the ambiance is nice.
