Looking for a place where authentic Vietnamese food is cooked with rich spices and herbs and yet subtle; it's here in Tribeca. NAM restaurant not only provided my dear friends and me with tasty Vietnamese food, but they provided thought, consideration, and care into every dish that was served. Our host Minh was extremely pleasant and accommodating to my guests. Everyone was very impressed with their dish and vowed to return. If you wish to have a quiet dinner alone, for two, or a party for a special occasion this is definitely a place to consider. NAM is chic, ambience just right, and the food is absolutely divine! M. We arrived at 6:30 on a Wed night: the restaurant was 1/3 full. Pleasant atmosphere, yet with a cold attitude of staff. The waitress was quite pushy. She kept asking whether we were ready to order and pulled plates from us while we were obviously enjoying nibbling the excellent sauce that comes with rice paper rolls. White rice was overcooked!! Chicken in lemon grass sauce came lukewarm. Food tasted very good. May be a better place in the summer hoping not to find the same staff.

This Vietnamese restaurant is really excellent. I really enjoyed the elegant decor and the lounge music : finally an Asian restaurant without the "typical" folklore... The meals are really tasty : the Pho (beef and noodles) is excellent, the Chia Gio are just as crispy as you would wish, the lemongrass and shrimp soup is a joy of flavours, and they have this special entree with shrimps and all kind of spices which is absolutely delicious ! While on vacation there, we had the chance to go there twice, and I wish I could have gone more to try everything on the menu !

The decor is just right; very simple & modern. Small restaurant with seats all close together. Food was very nice & the service was good. They had some nice fish dishes.
