I love this restaurant and keep coming back. The ambiance and decor is great, the food is great, and when they're not busy, the service is good. When they're busy, the service can try your patience. Try telling them you have theatre/ballet/opera tickets (even if you don't) -- it helps. Make sure you have the right season! I love the place.

I go here often when I'm in the neighborhood. The food is great and, when it is not crowded, the service is good. When it's crowded, the service can try your patience. It's a good idea to let them know if you have theatre/ballet/opera tickets -- that helps a bit. The ambiance and decor is outstanding -- I keep coming back for that and the food and the convenience to LC.

service is not good here, it never has been; waiters are awful. the place itself is great, comfortable, neighborhoody, good food, almost a smashing success except the service..how hard can it be to find normal/nice waiters

Was so excited to try this critics pick but was disappointed in the service and the food. Service was slow and not helpful. Never asked to refill wine etc. Food menu was limited and definitely not worth a return visit. Went on a friday night with out of town guests. Was disappointed.
