We arrived looking forward to a shrimp dinner. We were immediately seated and waited around 10 minutes for a server given it was a cold snowy evening and maybe they were short servers that night. We ordered shrimp scampi and we waited, no bread no water or even a drink order was taken. Finally the scampi arrived. It tasted terrible like it was a frozen dinner that was microwaved. We actually did something that we never did before or after, we left the food, actually paid the check under protest , walked out and found another restaurant and had a very nice dinner. A waste of time and money find another place to eat.

I have been going to this restaurant since I was a little girl, it was always a family favorite. I actually had my first lobster here. I can remember running around the restaurant as a little girl and sticking my head over the lobster tanks to view the delicious guys...... Well I can gladly say that nothing has changed. The restaurant could use a redesign but they better leave that menu alone!!! My boyfriend and I now visit this restaurant at least once a week. I have been trying a new dish almost every week and have not had a regret yet. Their lobster creme sauce is amazing, as well as the lobster bisque (which I can't ever go there without ordering it). Even though they are a seafood place they have plenty of chicken dishes that are amazing, like their chicken francese.....so go there and enjoy an evening there for yourself. You won't know until you try it for yourself!!

Surprisingly, this seafood restaurant uses imitation crabmeat in its stuffed flounder. How weak is that?

I love seafood and tried this place several times. My friend order grilled flounder and literally, hallf of it was baked onto the plate (can we say microwave?). Sure they cater to large groups or families...they have the room and ample parking and you can eat cheaply here...hence the baked on the plate flounder. For seafood in this area, I drive along the Belt Parkway east to Gateway Plaza and ALWAYS enjoy the food at Red Lobster (although their service is a crap-shoot).

We just went to Nick's for the first time, it was fabulous. Sat right next to a window overlooking the water, ate delicious, reasonably priced lobsters. Very low key atmosphere, lots of families there too which was nice for a change (we aren't in a family, just thought that was nice). Do yourself a favor and bike there via the greenway, this was such a good way to arrive, really felt like we were out in some New England town. Had to bike a few blocks on the sidewalk on Flatbush at the end, but so worth it! Lobster and clam chowder were great, the salad wasn't the best.
