A very fine establishment. Courteous and timely service. Wonderful taste. A comfortable atmosphere, not outrageous, crammed or overshadowing the cuisine. Highly recommend it.

I love this place! You can definitely find less expensive sushi in this neighborhood, but the relaxed vibe and the freshness of the fish makes this a great addition to the neighborhood. That being said the prices are not too high. Although it is right off St. Marks, you do not feel it when enter this maybe 11 2-top restaurant. I absolutely love the black cod appetizer and the K Roll is downright decadent! Everything we have had there has been great! Plus the service is very attentive as well.

After three visits to and one delivery from Nori, I am compelled to write a review. Every experience there has been perfect. The Nori salad is a flavorful alternative to typical seaweed. The salmon carpaccio with ginger sauce melts in your mouth. The chirashi (my usual sushi order) is fantastic - no krab sticks here! Only the highest quality fish selected by Nori himself, a great guy who is obviously passionate about his craft. I had never had raw shrimp before and my friend said she had never cared for it, but we agreed after one taste that we would be back for more! Make sure you save room for dessert. I have had the molten chocolate souflee, green tea crepe and the fried banana. The service is flawless - they want to know your name and they want to know that you are happy! Nori is brand new and has not yet been granted a liquor license, so bring your own sake and get ready to be blown away. A toast to Nori!

late night perfection

Although it's not difficult to find a late night meal on St Mark's, it gets a little more complicated to find a place that incorporates all the good qualities of a great restaurant. Nori is that oasis amongst the falafel dens My boyfriend and I went for a late night dinner last night bc we didn't want to sacrifice ambiance, and it became apparent once we entered and were greeted by Nori himself, that we wouldn't have to. Our waiters stood table side to tend to our every need as we deliberated for 20 minutes over what to order. When our sushi/sashimi did arrive, it was flavorful, fresh and delicious; so much so that we ended up ordering more. At that point it was past 11 and we were actually surprised that the sushi chef was in fact still taking (our) orders since the 10:30 sign outside said otherwise. Definitely worked out for us! My favorites were the Douple Shrimp Roll and the Red Snapper Sashimi. You will leave happy, satisfied and with a new friend in Nori after a meal at this les gem.

My wife and I went to Nori on Thursday night, and we loved it. Nori is a small but very cozy restaurant with amazing food at a very reasonable price. We also got to meet Nori (the owner) who is extremely friendly like the rest of the staff. We ate at the sushi bar, where two great sushi chefs provided us with great recommendations on what to try. The fish was super fresh and delicious. We highly recommend this restaurant. Here are some of the dishes that you must try: wagyu beef, salmon carpaccio, kinme golden eye sashimi, mirugai (giant clam), fatty tuna, and the kanpachi. Just an FYI that they do not have a liquor license yet, so remember to bring your own. We recommended this place to some friends who went there last night, and they loved it as well. We will definitely be going back.

i love that place, in St. Mark area is not easy to get placeful and relex place and the price is easy to afford. the first time i went there i was sitting at the sushi bar, it was a great experience. and they told me that's only their second day open. After that i went there with my wife, but not sitting at the sushi bar this time, but still the food came out pretty, and the waitstaff is very helpful. Next time i go i will bring my friends there.
