This place is an average crappy sushi joint. A step above GO Sushi maybe, and a small step at that. I don't like to be negative, but the only reason we tried this place was because it was on the "critics pick" list. It is SO not worthy of that accolade. I no longer trust the critic who is making the picks for New York Magazine. There are plenty of better cheap sushi joints in this neighborhood. Don't bother with this one.

I guess I did not notice the dates the reviews for this restaurant were posted. The reviews need to be updated. I can not believe this place is recommended by NY MAG, I mean maybe when it first opened it was decent, but now its just BAD. This place is depressing, dark, and strange smelling. The food is terrible, greasy and not very fresh. The sushi is okay, but something about all the food in this place is off. Two couples that walked in after us made up weird excuses and just walked out, I am just sorry we did not have the courage to do the same.

Not sure which critic picked this below average pan-Asian diner, but it doesn't deserve the accolade. The pork buns were microwaved. The Sichuan dumplings in hot oil arrived in peanut butter sauce. Tried some sushi - it was just ok. Fresh enough , but certainly nothing to write home about. There are a ton of decent sushi spots on the UWS, don't bother with this place. My rule about places that have a section for every country in East Asia on their menu is that none of it will be very good. This place reaffirms the rule with gusto.

they have the best bubble tea in new york, the taro and almond are two of the best flavors. the best sushi in town, fresh, beautiful, plentiful. broadway roll, park avenue roll are a colorful delight. mongolian lamb, seafood nest, and pepper prawns are tastes of heaven. a unique selection of thai dishes gives this restaurant another exotic delight. luv to see Ivy's smile too---very friendly owner of the establishment
