Somehow I had never heard of Ofrenda, odd considering I know almost every restaurant downtown - anyway decided to pop in one weekday night. It's a total gem - so conspicuous you'd probably never venture in. So glad my date and I did. Really liked the ambiance and decor. Loved the drinks (strong and delicious). The food was really good and interesting (won't find tex mex or tacos on the menu). And the staff was incredibly friendly. Place is now on my rotation.

Intrigued by the good reviews for this tiny place on 7th Avenue South. For once, the majority rules. Food was delicious. Lots of flavor and spice, well proportioned, and fresh. Service was attentive without being overbearing.

Sophisticated, upscale cuisine featuring unique offerings not seen on the menus of most Mexican restaurants. I had the scallops, which were delicious, and my friend had the enchiladas de huitlacoche, which he loved. Margaritas were perfectly executed. Service cannot be overstated in my opinion, and the waitstaff (special shout-out to Orlando!) was friendly, knowledgeable, and highly professional. The ambiance was rustic, warm and inviting. Of special note is their gorgeous bar. I will definitely be returning and will recommend this place to others.

I had heard from friends that I needed to try this great mexican restaurant and bar called Ofrenda in the W Village. Last night I finally got there with 2 other friends and wow! What a great experience and the food and cocktails are much more than just a typical mexican restaurant. The cocktails were hand crafted (try the Mexican Lady) and food choices had some new and inventive ideas (Scallops!).

Was waited on by owner Jorge. Cocktails were great, and food was awesome as well. The Cerviche and the pork chop were both great. Had a Mexican Lady cocktail with Jalapeno Tequila, Prickly Pear and Mezcal......fantastic - did not care that it was kind of pink colored. will be back for sure. Be sure to look at the back bar - women's bathroom looks awesome too (don't ask me how I know that)

This yummy little treasure is a welcome addition to the neighborhood. We started with cocktails and the guacamole. Both were quite delicious. I am guac snob and I bartended for more years than I care to admit so you can take my recommendations seriously! One of the owners waited on us (sorry I can't remember his name) but he was super friendly and very helpful with picking out cocktails and food. I had the pork chop.. fantastic. Also try the cucumber margarita.

The cocktails and food here are so thoughtful and delicious. Everyone was very nice and helpful and it really feels like a hidden cantina. It's my new favorite spot.

The place was not busy at all. We were sat, ordered appetizers and said we needed a few minutes to decide on entrees. Appetizers were delivered by a bus boy. Fast forward 30 minutes, our server (or any other employee) had not returned to our table nor glanced at us the entire time. We wound up never ordering entrees and just left. The appetizers were thoroughly mediocre (cactus salad and pigs feet eggroll things).

Went here to check it out and try something new. The waitress was extremely helpful and had good suggestions. We tried the goat cheese dip, which was interesting. It came with strange wheat puff crackers but not enough. The dip was good and they happily brought us more chips. The chips and dip came with a bean dip and a guacamole that were both fantastic. I ordered the Enchiladas Mole. VERY delicious. Having just come from a trip to the Yucatan, I can say that the food all tasted very authentic and not like an Americanized version of Mexican. I would certainly go back. The only negatives were that the decor wasn't anything special. Oddly chosen artwork and white walls made it seem a little slapped together, but the food made up for it.
