I really enjoyed One Fish Two Fish. It's not Nello, but the food was good (I had the Teriyaki Shrimp) and the service was good as well.

One Fish is a world-class dump with terrible food. Don't walk, but run away . . .

Since I was by myself I decide to eat at the bar. A young women appeared to use her last breath to step behind the bar and serve me. My first request was to change the channel on the TV. Fear Factor seemed inappropriate for dinner fare. My "Bottomless Salad Bowl" arrived first. "Bottom of the Salad Bowl" would be a better description. It was accompanied by three dressings so artificial they make Linoleum seem organic. Next up was my main course, and I must say I’ve never had fishy Cod before. I didn’t know they allowed fishing in the East River. I took comfort in knowing if the lights went out I could continue eating by the bluish-green glow of my entrée. Two bites and I asked for the check. The bartender showed me mercy and removed my plate without asking if I was finished. Force of habit I suppose. On my way out I could not help but feel a little envy for those diners on Fear Factor.

If you only have an hour for lunch, this is not the place. Bad service is backed up by a manager that covers for it, which is nice if you work there but not so if you’d like a meal within an hour. My 3 friends & I stopped by when the dining room was less than half full & we still had to leave without being served a full 50 minutes after we arrived. Having the cheek to ask what went wrong when we left incurred the full wrath of the manager who suggested I eat my meals at home. Not exactly the professional high ground here.
