I've eaten here 4 times and three have been superb. The offal dishes are especially good as are the pastas. A great though small dining room makes up a bit for somewhat lazy service but all in all, well worth it.

The food was delicious and neatly presented in clean white Villeroy & Boch plate. Octopus and Scallops were great- and Blue Marlin was exceptionally wonderful. Waiters were kind in crisp blue shirt and interior of the restaurant was just inviting. Great value for what you experience in there!

From outside you can barely see it. When you walk in the restaurant automatically the place is very inviting. The food was very very good. The menu is great that will full fill everybody's taste. It was a very good experience I can say and the people that run it are very professional. Excellent menu, great place! It is worth trying it!

Long Island's loss is the UWS's gain! Owner Michael Psiliakis has closed the wonderful long island Ecco restaurant to pursue his onera (greek for dream)- and dreams do come true. Michael is a natural chef, creative, daring, and consistent. Try anything and you will not be disappointed. The food is fresh, delicious, beautifully presented and served by an attentive yet unobtrusive staff. The wine list is well priced. The deserts dreamy. The room cozy and conversation friendly. Go,go,go!!!

The UWS is no longer a culinary wasteland. Onera is adding its passion and commitment to a neighboord that has been waiting for an alternative to Chain restaurants and Pizza joints. The Decor, the Food and the Service are all first rate, and everyone its still warm and friendly, just as it should be in a neighboord restaurant. It is a small restaurant, so lets hope that its popularity will not prevent UWS residents from getting in.

This is the best and most ambitious restaurant that has ever open on the upper west side. The room is modern and yet warm and cozy, the staff is professional and friendly at the same time, and the food is divine. The meze are the best when enjoyed by the whole table and the appetizers have rustic flavors but are elegant and refined in their presentations. The main course categories feature some delicious Greek Pastas that put most Italian restaurants to shame. I love the fish preparations that are so light and yet hearthy. Try the pork or the duck if you are in the mood for meat; they are simply outstanding. Desserts are really a nice alternative to the stale pastries you get in most other Greek restaurants. I am happier now that I live on the UWS

Onera has the potential to become one of the best restaurants in NYC. The raw meze course was exceptional. We tried the scallops, yellowtail and lamb. All were perfectly balanced with hints of traditional combinations. The grilled prosciutto wrapped figs stuffed with blue cheese were the perfect balance of sweet, salty and sharp. For entres we ordered Mousauka and John Dory. My fiance really enjoyed every bite of the Mousauka. The John Dory could have come to the table a little warmer - but the flavor combination was original and tasted incredible, the orzo and goat cheese really complimented the butternut squash reduction. Wine list was pretty diverse with Greek and non-Greek choices in a wide price range. The dining room is a little too formal and the lighting a bit too bright. The service was very friendly and the staff was eager to make recommendations. The bar at the front is a nice option if you want to snack on some meze and starters with some wine. Prices are on the high end for the Upper Westside but the quality is comparable to much more expensive restaurants in the city.
