This is a wonderful undiscovered gem on the Upper East Side. The food is consistently delicious and the service excellent. I regularly go here with different friends and consistently people are impressed with how good the food is. This is across the board from the appetizers, to the pastas to traditional entrees. They have extremely fresh fish. If you have need of gluten free food this is the best italian restaurant out there, however the fact that they offer gluten free food should not discourage anyone else. They are accomodating of special requests, and other dietary restrictions. It's ambiance is great for an intimate dinner or a small group get together.

Opus is inviting the moment you walk through the door. From the classic black and white movies playing by the bar to the wonderful owners and staff. The wines always complement your meal. My favorites are the veal scallopini entree and papardelle pasta, but even more wonderful is the asparagus soup and flat bread that starts your meal by craving your hunger but never leaving you too full to enjoy your main course. The best part is being a graduate student, Opus doesn't break my budget. Its always a pleasure to eat with the Lentini brothers. Don't forget to try their mother's homemade lemonchello.

I have been a fan of the cuisine from Lentini and TINI's, and the new combination is a gem. You will not be dissapointed. Great cuisine, and ambiance, it is very fresh, new and exciting. Guiseppe and Enzo have done their magic again!

This is a great find on the upper east side which is lacking good Italian food. They have some of the best food in NY (especially the pasta!), and bar. You are missing out if you don't try this place -- outstanding service and food.

I live in italy and travel in the USA for business and I always love to find a piece of Real Italy here in manhattan What happen ? anyway we enter the new restaurant and it looked like a nightmare from service to food , I hated the table so close to each other , I was getting hit by something or somebody every 2 minutes , the pizza tasted like cart board and the rest of the food was inedible , tasted like bad italoamerican food . Now for pizza i have to go to Serafina and if I want to eat Italian food I have to look in my wallet and go to Cipriani . Ciao Il Vescovo di Firenze

I'm a pharmaceutical sales rep and I took some customers to Opus, and was very embarrassed. This place was recommended by a colleague who eats gluten free foods due to an allergy. It works for her. It accommodates celiac disease, but that's it's best quality based upon my experience and the experience of my five guests. It's yet another AMERICAN Italian restaurant that you think you have to try, just in case it's not like the others. It's like the others. The pasta dishes were overcooked (American-style), the shellfish was not fresh and a sirloin steak was brought out very well done when "rare" was requested. One of my guests enjoyed her endive salad but that's about it. Service was intrusive to the extent that it was difficult to speak with my guests for more than two minutes without an interruption. It seems like a clean place but I don't recommend it if what you want is fine Italian food with great service.
