There are good dim sum places in Brooklyn, 18 ave and 62nd street for example but this isn't one of them. Yes this place has a much better decor (although we're still talking Chinese decor) but the deep fried croquettes although good were nearly cold. The ha gau (shrimp in a see through dumpling) was terrible, the lo-bo-co or turnip paste was ok, the scallion pancakes were probably the highlight. The clams were in an MSG coated sauce that was nearly inedible, two types of cheung fun where the rolls were good but the sauce again let the side down. The choice of food was impressive but the quality was patchy. Many more lows than highs. The wait wasn't too bad, about 10 minutes but the food wasn't worth it with or without a wait. Go elsewhere (see first sentence).
