The food is consistently stellar. The service is sometimes good or sometimes lacking, it depends who the server is. I usually opt for indoor seating and the service is better. The onion and chorizo app is to die for... and so are the yucca fries, delish!

Do not expect service here, which may have to do with the recent new ownership. Since the outdoor seating is so tempting, I've been 3 times now, but on my last attempt we walked out before receiving the drinks. To start, we ordered over $30 of appetizers and beverages; the waitress rudely told us that we may have to give up our table since we weren't eating "dinner." (It was 4:30 on a Saturday afternoon and the place was empty.) The guacamole is above average, but overpriced and not worth the aggravation. If you're looking for tasty tacos and tequila in a relaxed outdoor setting, El Pacifico will not live up to expectation but surely kill your weekend buzz.

if you want a relaxed fun place to have some great drinks and food, its Pacifico. If you know brooklyn restaurants, you should not expect constant ass kissing, you should expect a fun spot to relax and eat a good meal... nuff said. enjoy.

Horrible experience

Went to Pacifico last night with my sister and her boyfriend. Seemed cute and menu looked good. Little did we know that our dinner would be SO bad. First, my sister got a filthy water glass that had lipstick marks that were not hers all over the rim. So gross, but we couldn't get another one because our waitress didn't come over to us one time the ENTIRE meal. Not even once. My meal was inedible, but again, couldn't tell our waitress because she never came over to us AT ALL. Had to flag down the busboy to give us our check and I told him that my meal was awful, but he just laughed and walked away. I literally took 2 bites. Got our check and my meal was still on there, so I paid for something I didn't even touch. It was possibly the worst dining experience I have had in quite some time. I wouldn't even go back there for a beer.

Ate there just last night and enjoyed the evening. Regarding the previous reader review, vegetarian needs are still something special for many restaurants and I'm not sure a Tex-Mex place with a Jimmy Buffett-type vibe is the place I'd go for such. For a relaxed meal of typical Southwestern style food--yummy (& clean) enough for this semi-fussy eater--and decently good drinks, served by non-professional, but perfectly fine servers, this is a good choice. Being in design, I also kinda like the honky-tonk/carnival/backyard barbecue summer night atmosphere... lighten up everyone and ENJOY!

With scruffy decor and outdoor seating, Pacifico seems like the ideal place for margaritas on a summer night. If only the actuality lived up to that... Service was horrific -- our waitress visited only 3 times during our 2-hour meal. Fish tacos were overcooked. Salsa could have been store-bought. (Grilled corn was tasty.) Still, the interior feels so cheerful it's hard to begrudge the place too much.

We were sat immediately, but then neglected by our server. It took forever to order food and drinks, and much longer to receive them. I ordered something specifically vegetarian, which the server said would not be a problem, but when it arrived it had meat in it. The hostess (our server was nowhere to be found) told me that if I could show her some meat, she'd take it back to the kitchen. We left -- she was challenging and confrontational; no one needs that on a night out.

All I want to say is: Our food had a live cockroach in it and the table next to ours was served a soup with a fly in it TWICE! When we asked for our check, the waitress said: "would you like any of it to go"? ARE YOU KIDDING me?

Pacifico is a tiny slice of a mexican foodies heaven. Kitchy and quaint with a roaring fire place on a blustery winters night and a spacious patio for the summers eves, its a great choice for the brooklynite who merely wants a taco and a margarita to satisfy the dinner urge. With the $5 buck section of the menu and fresh squeezed lime juice margaritas, the meal is not going to break the bank. It's a place to make a point of going to as well as a place to hit when all else fails.
