the food is decent, the service good and the place is cozy, not one of the best places, but a good place for a late weekend dinner.

On just a regular night I can't say it is anything special. Small crowded space if you don't get a garden seat (which I requested and didn't get). However, they have many special nights and tasting menus via their amusing email list.

Magazine reviews were on point: great food, attentive service, unpretentious for the District.

I've been to Paradou several times, both for their famed "unlimited champagne brunch" and for Sunday dinner. All I can say is that, having spent a few months living in Provence, Paradou has the atmosphere and general vibe spot on. It's all about enjoying your life, your food, your drink, and your company. Zero pretension. Champagne brunch is a fantastic time. The only downside is that if you really take advantage of the unlimited offer, it might just put you out of commission for the evening. This is the only champagne brunch i've been to in the city where the waitstaff will refill your glass all morning and let you actually take full advantage if you're so inclined. And please...order the duck Reuben. It's unbelievably delicious.

I just love Paradou: the food, the atmosphere, and the overall experience. Make sure you make a reservation as it gets very busy. We sat in their heated garden and had a great great time... I just love it!!!
very good time

Greeted with the smile by the hostess, sat where we wanted to sit, following by superb dinner and excellent bottle (actually, bottles) of wine... what else would you wish for? knowledgeable staff. great little place. can't wait to go back.

We went for both brunch and dinner! For brunch, we actually skipped the unlimited champagne brunch and instead got a couple of bottles of their fabulous rose champagne. Delicious! It was 5 of us, and it was a great deal. We had the duck sandwich, the wake and bake, the burger (two of us had the burger, it was incredible), the plate of foie and the tuna nisous (spl?) salad. We shared everything, and it was a tummy celebration! amazing!!!! Can't wait to go back!!! We even had a dessert trio and that was awesome. STILL FULL! For Dinner: I went with my friend, so didn't get a chance to try everything, but we shared everything too (we always go and order different things to be able to try all the food). We had the frogs legs and duck, and lobster (so pretty! presented like it's sushi) and sardines. absolute decadence. Had a bottle of white and red both recommended by the server (whose palate proved excellent).
