Yelped earlier and guy at Paradou responded.But he resulted in using name calling and such,which can't help the outlook of the restaurant in addition to my following review. You can see the 200 words or MORE review on yelp. Overall poor and rude service along with not so great food. "Phooeys": -extra charges on bill.Charged for 8 bottles of water when we only had 2.$6/bottle with no notification. -Friend inquired on the vegetarian dish.Waiter says they don't serve that,but when pointed out on menu,he then asks the chef. -charged 4 extra prix fixe we did not order.They said there's a set amount charged automatically because we rsvp for party of 10.They didn't tell us this prior,otherwise,we would of found a diff alternative.When asked to speak to the manager,the chef comes out rudely sticking his phone in our faces saying we can call the owner. -Asked for medium rare,waiter moved on without noting it.Not MR as suspected. -Hot environment.Pregnant friend experienced discomfort from poor conditions.Paying $100/person for that is unacceptable!

Do NOT go to Paradou, you will be robbed. Completely overcharged us for four extra pri-fixe dinners. We ordered six dinners, however, they charged us for ten!! When we brought it to their attention, they manipulated us with some bogus reason, saying that WE were contractually obligated to pay because our reservations was for ten people (our party was only nine people btw), therefore, they overcharged us for ten pri-fixe even though only six were actually ordered. Also, since when was a simple reservation a contract? Food was completely forgettable. It might have been better if the back garden wasn't so hot and humid. No air conditioners, and only one fan, in this 90 degree weather? Torture. It was definitely uncomfortable. Basically, to the "knuckle head" (that's what they called my pregnant friend) over at Paradou, have better customer service. And your sign out in front your place is right...you guys ain't fancy, but you aint good either.

Food is OK but nothing special; service is VERY bad. Waiters are cheating on you and treat you like crap! If you appreciate overpriced pseudo-french food and impolite service, have dinner at Paradou!

I made a reservation at this restaurant for my boyfriend's b-day which so happens to be Bastille Day (a French holiday). Because that is a busy night at French restaurants, they gave our reservation away! I called the restaurant and explained that the reservation was for a special b-day, but they still did not honor it. (Another person at the restaurant also had her reservation ignored.) Not only did they give away the reservation, but they were VERY rude about it. I will NEVER EVER return there.

I've been to Paradou several times, both for their famed "unlimited champagne brunch" and for Sunday dinner. All I can say is that, having spent a few months living in Provence, Paradou has the atmosphere and general vibe spot on. It's all about enjoying your life, your food, your drink, and your company. Zero pretension. Champagne brunch is a fantastic time. The only downside is that if you really take advantage of the unlimited offer, it might just put you out of commission for the evening. This is the only champagne brunch i've been to in the city where the waitstaff will refill your glass all morning and let you actually take full advantage if you're so inclined. And please...order the duck Reuben. It's unbelievably delicious.

the food is decent, the service good and the place is cozy, not one of the best places, but a good place for a late weekend dinner.

Went to this restaurant for a business dinner and was surprised by the lack of common courtesy. They never brought us water, our client's food was never ordered by the waiter, only to be brought in cold and dry. At the end of the night our client ended up having a big argument with the waiter. AWFUL

Lovely garden/terrace in the back. As its name states, Paradou's menu is all about South of France cuisine (bouillabaisse, aioli, etc): food is good but not so cheap. Average service.

On just a regular night I can't say it is anything special. Small crowded space if you don't get a garden seat (which I requested and didn't get). However, they have many special nights and tasting menus via their amusing email list.

What's Its Point, Besides the Garden?

Premise: the garden, for some reason, was closed. So perhaps I missed 90% of this place. Because food is ok, but it's kind of difficult to get it wrong with a steak and you're paying 70 bucks for dinner (drinking very, very little). Desserts are the usual global-irrelevant experience, and crepes taste like palatchinken when the Wall was still there. Service: notr rude nor incompetent, but nothing special.
