i already wrote quite the long review on menupages, so i'll bullet this review in chronological order to keep things simple. 1. made my 11 guests and i wait 40 minutes (with reservation) before seating 2. seated us in wrong room 3. ignored us for 15 minutes until i had to get up and ask the manager for water, a waitress and menus 4. waitress watches my bf put down empty drink during appetizers. proceeds to not ask if we want another round the whole rest of the meal. 5. manager asks "what do you want me to do" when at the end of the meal i said the poor service was surprising.... then walks away from me as i'm mid-sentence responding. Congratulations to The Park for turning the city's prettiest outdoor seating restaurant into my worst birthday dinner ever. You win with flying colors!!

We blast in from the cold, after walking from the St. Luke's Theater (Black Angels ... beautiful)to the vibrating warmth of The Park. We chose the Garden Room, though the staff warned us of a chill at a point in the room. They were right, it got cold if you sat too close to the front window. And that's my only complaint. Get more heat lamps! But the atmosphere was warm & sexy, the lights on the trees creating a glow. The staff were friendly & attentive. The Alaskan salmon w/asparagus was perfect, cooked exactly the way I asked for it. The wine was excellent & warmed us up for the walk back to the A train, past all the hot club people drinking & establishing connections at the bar. I've been coming here for over 20 years, so I know I'll be back again.,

I have dined at the park before and never had any issues but on january 12th me and a couple of friends went out for a birthday celebration and was so disappointed with the service & most importantly the FOOD! The best part was the portabella fries those were still yummy and desert .....whomp whomp

Didn't have a problem with the restaurant until I received my credit card statement. Basically, the statement showed an overcharge tip of $25 for a $40 brunch meal. Called the credit card company immediately & they informed me that it's the restaurant that actually inputs this info. Left a message with the restaurant & still waiting for a return call...very disappointing. I wanted to go back to try their dinner but since they couldn't even bother to call to apologize, it only proves to me they could care less and at this point, I won't be returning. It's a shame that they practice such unethical behavior and don't even take the initiative to quickly remedy the problem. *** Just found other customer reviews on Citysearch who have had similar experiences of being cheated on their bills!!! Clearly this is common unethical practice at this establishment!!!

I went to out to eat here with a group of 8 other friends. It was an unpleasant surprise when we met our waiter who was extremely rude and unresponsive; he seemed annoyed when we asked what certain foods on the menu were. The interior is not very impressive either. The website is extremely misleading; the actual restaurant doesn't look have as chic or comfortable as it is portrayed online. The chairs are uncomfortable and the tables are uneven and they rock back and forth. The food was awful; the meat in my dish was dry and flavorless. It was a waste of time and money and most of us were in a bad mood after eating there.

I went to the Park last night, with a table of 6 people. Hostess very friendly. Waitress disappeared for long intervals after ordering food. Drinks standing empty for a long while and we had to ask other employees passing by for the next round to be brought. Mussels arrived 50% closed, 25% empty (!), we sent them back (afterwards, it took a long time for the waitress to find the manager to take it off the bill). Blackened catfish was mushy. Everything just took too long, without explanation or care from apathetic staff. Staff, the decor, and customers tend to look great, but everything else can go. If you must go, just get drinks at one of several bars in the place.

The web-site of the restaurant makes it quite appealing and modern. When you actually go there, it is far less shiny and attractive. Tables are old and chairs are uncomfortable. We were a group of nine and they sit us around a round and square table put together! It was impossible to have a conversation with the other side of the table. In addition, the music is so loud that you cannot speak. Food is worse than McDonald! Same quality, smaller portions. I had a food poisoning after dining at The Park. I order salmon and it was not cooked at all! Raw fish, and you are not even in a Japanese restaurant! Drinks are terrible, and the wine selection is poor! If you want to organize a cheap party, do something at home instead. Your guest are going to be happier (and healthier)!

I went here for dinner and was extremely disappointed. Food was terrible, even the drinks! The sangria came in a pint glass and looked and tasted like it was made from a bottled mix. My boyfriend ordered a coke and it came in a 4 oz. juice glass. Salmon was bland and vegetables extremely oversalted. Filet mignon was just terrible (looking and tasting.) Overall the food tasted like the entrees you would get from a Fridays or Applebees except $20 more. The atmosphere, however, is quite pleasing. The Park = nice to look at, bad to eat at.

I have returned here many times. The atmosphere is relaxing, especially the garden room. The food is great. The only downfall is the service. It is slow. Very slow. If you are in a hurry this is not the place to go. But if you are entertaining guests, this is perfect.
