I'm pretty sure that neither Pies-N-Thighs nor Rock Star Bar has a sign, so it's really easy to miss either one. It's basically the only thing around there, so just look for signs of life, and you'll find it. Try a doughnut while you're there. Two bucks may seem steep, but it's one hell of a doughnut, and plenty for two people to split as a dessert. Be prepared to make a mess of yourself-- but one bite of the pulled pork, and you'll know it's worth the mess.

Amazing fried chicken, biscuits that melt in your mouth and and old fashion donut that begs for a cup of coffee. One of the best comfort food digs in Williamsburg, great price and who can beat the Williamsburg Bridge as the backdrop. I'll be back for the pulled pork and the pies!!!!!

Pies-N-Thighs catered our wedding in September. We knew we wanted delicious hearty food and that PNT would have great fried chicken. But they surpassed our expectations by miles. From our first exchange until the day after our wedding (they provided delicious and amazing looking donuts the morning after) they were so professional, warm and generous. The food at our wedding was presented beautifully and was sublime. I can't tell you how many times I heard "best food at any wedding ever!" from our guests. They also offered a perfect variety and a nice balance between yummy fried fish and chicken to tasty, healthy and colorful vegetables and salads. And people are still talking about the pies and how great they were. As for the service: Anne Marie is the events coordinator that we worked with and she truly went above and beyond. She took such interest and care in how our day played out and was an absolute delight to work with. The chefs also showed so much care and it was clear that everyone wanted our day to be great and for us to be happy. The servers that helped at our wedding were so kind, so professional and did a perfect job. Honestly, I could go on and on about what a special and wonderful experience we had with Pies-N-Thighs. I will continue to dine in their restaurant and use their catering services and wish we could do the wedding all over again exactly the same way!

My wife and I chose Pies n' Thighs to cater our wedding last summer and our experience with them was terrific. They were professional and accomodating, and they knew all the right questions to ask to make sure we got exactly what we wanted. The catering staff was friendly and easy to work with and the catering manager Anne Marie was great at staying in contact with me as the big day approached. Their hospitality was really above and beyond. As for the food itself - if you haven't had a chicken biscuit from Pies n' Thighs you're really missing out. The buscuit is rich and flaky, the chicken is crispy and flavorful, and the honey butter and hot sauce bring it all together for one of the best "sandwiches" in Brooklyn. As for the pies, go for the bourbon pecan - but it's my personal opinion that the donuts are the best way to end a meal here. Favorite sides would have to be the mac n' cheese with a dab of hot sauce or the baked beans. Pies n' Thighs isn't white linen dining. It's not breaking new ground in the field of molecular gastronomy. Save all that for some other time. Pies n' Thighs will fill you up and send you home happy - and they'll do it without breaking the bank!

My husband and I were looking for alternative, down home and delicious food for our wedding, and Pies N Thighs was PERFECT. They were extraordinarily professional, courteous, and did a fantastic job over all. The presentation and service was outstanding, Ann Marie was instrumental in helping us with ideas for rentals (we pretty much had an almost entirely DIY affair), and 4 months later our guests are still raving that it was the best food they've ever had at a wedding. Right from the night we stopped in to do our tasting (which was amazingly generous, and super fun to boot), we couldn't have been happier. I would highly recommend them for any catered affair. And the absolutely best part of my night was when a server sought me out to give me the most delicious and anticipated bite I was waiting for all night--the chicken biscuit. HEAVEN!!

We had a great experience with Pies N Thighs as our wedding caterer this past January. They invited us for a generous tasting with the catering manager, Anne Marie, as soon as we contacted them about the possibility of working with them. They seemed eager to get our business (in a good way) and were a lot of fun. The catering team was responsible for juggling so many details of our wedding and everything went perfect. A number of guests--some of them real food snobs--said that this was the best wedding food they'd ever had. We also heard that the brisket was an all-time best for a lot of people as well (my Texan husband requested that they cut it a little thicker so that it was more like home, and they were happy to comply). We weren't excited about the idea of paying a fortune for fussy wedding food that is mediocre when mass produced--and loved the simplicity of the food on their menu. That being said, there are many options on the catering menu that change each season--you won't find them on their website. I'm a vegetarian and we wanted a menu with some meat but plenty of veggie options, and they gave us plenty of options. (Including a stuffed squash entree that was really delicious!) I'd recommend them wholeheartedly to anyone planning a wedding.
