Last Saturday night's dinner of scallops at Pigalle was a disaster. My Easter Sunday was spent in bed because of stomach upset .Called the manager Barbara and Salvatore about what happened and I was advised that the general manager would give me a ring. It's been 5 days since and I have never had a call back. Time to skip 8th Avenue for 9th Ave ...where there are more and better choices of restaurants.

My family had a great dinner experience here on christmas eve. the mussels marienere were some of the best mussels we've ever had, and i eat a lot of mussels. the monkfish, duck margret and beef bourginion were all fantastic. great, unobtrusive service and lovely house wines. we really, really enjoyed dinner here

This restaurant is a mix of good and bad factors. Service is quick and excellent. Food is mediocre at best (toast arrives warm, not toasted). The seating arrangements are very uncomfortable. Be prepared to sit so close to a neighboring table, that you can help yourself to your neighbor's plate. Cost is moderate for New York, but still overpriced for what you get (tiny eggs, 2 strips of limp bacon, and some "home fries" that look like they've been stewing for days. Tried it once -- that's enough. There are better places nearby.

This was one of the WORST places I've eatien at for a long time. You are fooled by the decor upon entering, and the service is good, but the cesar salad had croutons as hard as rocks, and their version of mussles mariniere was more like a tasteless water with raw onions added to it. The bar was expensive too but the only thing really worth ingesting. We would never go back.

I took my three daughters to Pigalle for dessert and drinks after the theatre. Two of us received our drinks with alcohol. Two got sweetened hot orange tea with no alcohol. When we tried to explain to our waiter, the bartender and the manager we were told, essentially, that we didn't know what we were talking about. We will NEVER go back.

I have had some really great experiences here, and some experiences that leave a bit to be desired. The service is pretty spotty. But the menu is good: it has a French flair but is varied. Great for after a show; better yet, great for after a matinee.

We wanted a good brunch place near to our hotel because we had to leave that day for the airport. This place was wonderful, friendly, delicious and a godsend for us. I would definitely eat here again.

Food had no inspiration. All cooked on an assembly line in a factory kitchen. It's not horrible, but why put up with tasteless mass production?

Great atmosphere for lunch. Nice table by the window watching 8th Ave pedestrians go by, sipping a Duvel (or some other nice Belgium), and enjoying quality food. Their selections are great. Next time, we are going to do dinner there.
