Great remodling job!

These guys almost killed me when they closed for four months earlier this year- where was I to do brunch now??? But I have to say, they fixed everything I didn't like about them and a great spot is now a fabulous spot. Same great sandwiches, but they also offer burgers, belgium fries, and a fully stocked bar. They take credit cards, they are open before noon and serve late into the weekends. I'd happily go there on a casual date, alone with a book, for a business meeting, all in all, I could find an excuse to be here almost any day of the week. Great outdoor patio too!

The first and the best

I always wanted a place like this in the slope. Now, years later, I am happy to say they are still the best. Great salads, great soups. I've got the menu memorized--so should you, cause sometimes the lunchtime mommy crowd gets a bit intense.

Delicious Sandwiches and the best black bean hummus!

I love this neighborhood sandwich joint. All the paninis are really tasty, and my personal favorite thing on the menu is the black bean hummus, which you can eat as an appetizer, and is also an ingredient in some of the sandwiches. The house red, a Montepulciano, I believe, is also excellent, and when the weather's nice, eating in the lovely garden out back is idyllic!

Have lived in the Slope for 4 years and always love Press 195 sandwiches, took my friend here today and loved watching his expression as he bit into his sandwich! These guys rock, the owners are super cool and friendly and the food is original and great. Never had a knish sandwich before and it is a must for everyone, try the roast beef one. Keep pressing!!

I was completely blown away by the sandwiches here. My buddy lives in the area and always talks this place up. I visited him and it is no joke!! I had the #18 sandwich which was chicken, black bean hummus, cilantro, onion and jack cheese. Amazing, I also took a bite of my pals cuban sandwich and it was great. The bread is what makes them great. And they play great music there. I am unsure as to the other negative comments because this place is damn good!! My buddy is visiting me in NJ next week and I already put in my request for Press 195 food! try it, you will LOVE the place!

The menu is extensive and delicious-sounding, but the ingredients taste like they were bought last week from the Key Foods across the street. I can grill a better sandwich at home. On the bright side, they throw in a bag of plain potato chips (I think Utz) with each order. I only eat here whenever I forget how unimpressive it was the last time.

I have gone to this nearby restaurant on several occassions. The food is OK, but the service has been slow. On the last visit, my 11 year old daughter and myself waited 15 minutes before seeing our waiter. He appologized, took our order, and disappeared. We never saw him again. After 20 more minutes, I asked another waiting when the food will be out. He snapped back "WHEN IT'S READY." When I inquired when that would be, he loudly informed me,"THIS IS NOT FAST FOOD. WHY DON'T YOU GO TO McDONALDS." Waiting this period of time for a bowl of chili and a sandwich is somewhat long. Responding with this type of vitreol to a patron's question is just plain wrong. By the way, we didn't go to McDonalds, but had a tasty meal served by friendly people at Los Pollitos Dos down the block.

I needed a semi-quick lunch and got the cuban sandwich. It was decent and I'll probably go back and try some other dishes.
