Undoubtedly the worst meal we've had in Manhattan. Grossly overpriced. Indifferent service. Four adults in our party ordered steaks at $50-70 each. Only one of the four steaks was good. The other three were overdone and tasteless, needing ketchup to make them edible. The fifth guest ordered an "Asian iceberg" salad, described as honey roasted cashews, lotus chips, red radishes and iceberg lettuce with a carrot-ginger dressing. In fact, it was an uncut mound of lettuce topped with 4 cashews and 2 thin lotus slices. The three major ingredients were red onions, carrots and avocado, none of which were on the menu. The waiter never returned to ask if everything was OK, and never asked if we wanted a beverage. Just as well, in retrospect, as it would merely have expanded the already-overinflated bill. Dont expect an intimate evening; the space is large, noisy, and inhospitable.

I ate at Prime Grill for the second time with my family the other night and what a treat it was! The place is noisy, but not to a level that is unbearable - if you want a more intimate setting asked to be seated on the right side...The service was wonderful and we were greeted by a friendly and attentive staff. I ordered the Duck spring rolls which melted in my mouth followed by the Prime Reserve Cut steak (I was hungry) which was incredible. I will definitely go back - I heard lunch is incredible - I must try!

The Best Steak House in New York, No Contest I've been going to prime ever since it opened . I tried all of his recommendations then, and I've dined at virtually all of the new steak houses that have opened in the city since then. None can be compared with pg. In fact, the steaks are now definitely better than ever, and even the potatoes are still superior to all others. (Try both the exceptional french fries and the hash browns .) Service has always been woefully underrated at this restaurant, by the way, so it's difficult to comprehend the critical comments about this aspect at pg, even in the Zagat guide. The only defect in their food is the rolls, which are too ordinary compared to the superb ones that they used to get from a local bakery. and I keep hoping that they'll consider opening a nd location in bklyn where I live. But - and I can't emphasize this enough - having a steak at pg is a unique experience unmatched by any other restaurant in the New York City area, and when I go there nowadays and taste my first slice of their steak, it's just like it was in '74: unreal and unlike any other meat I've ever had anywhere. In a word: sublime.

I go there every week for lunch,food is top.get the dry aged meat.it's better the Peter lugar's meat.every mover and shaker is there for lunc,once a week is a must.

There is no better place in NYC to go for kosher dining. Me and my friends simply love the place. Its hip and trendy, food is fantastic and the staff is very friendly. It is noisy most of the time but I don't really mind that. It adds to the atmosphere. I read in a few reviews that people think its overpriced but I guess they don't consider the portion sizes you'll get. They are huge

I had an amazing experience at The Prime Grill. So amazing that I had to write about it and let all New Yorkers and foodies about this restaurant. I know it has been open for a while, but I just made it over there this week for dinner. The food was exceptional and I left with a coma filled high! Get appetizers to share and your own steak - everything is worth the price you pay. We sat on the right side of the restaurant, which was a little quieter than the left side.
