A great brunch spot. Although this is a quieter spot than a place such as Pastis - the service and food are excellent and it probably offers better value for money. I can highly recommend coming here. Food excellent. Service excellent, and a breezy ambience. Ten out of ten.

After a night of wannabe-trendy eatery-hopping with little to no gastronomic success--90-minute wait at Back Forty, no full bar at The E.U.(!!)--my boyfriend and I ended up at Provence, utterly starved. (Well, we did not end up there...we intentionally took a cab to an address I had in the back of my mind but could not pin a name on...) Anyhow, kind staff sat us straightaway in the front dining room. (Lovely windows to the street; lovelier when they open to warmer weather, I am sure.) Menu is a bit intimidating, but if the picky S.O. can find happiness in a venison special and I can nearly drown in the spicy-savory fish stew, trust me there is something here to please any discriminating palate, comfortably. Prices are relative and reasonable. Just wish they would note the fudge factor of the chocolate cake. Disappointing consistency.
