Horrible service, mediocre food, disgusting restrooms

On 9/25/2010, 6 of us went to Puglia for dessert and drinks during the San Gerrino festival. It was our first time eating at this restaurant, and we had high hopes for the food, service and atmosphere. Everything was a total let down.For starters, we ordered Sangria which was made by an absolute amateur and was definitely the most disgusting tasting drink I have ever tasted. I think they used a $2 bottle of wine to make it.The waiter agreed to replace it, giving as an explanation that the bar tender was drunk. The replacement Sangria was barely acceptable. Every dessert we wanted to order from their menu was "out of stock". We ordered the american cheesecake and the molten chocolate cake. The cheesecake was grocery quality at best, and the molton chocolate cake was rubbery, cold, and not baked the day it was served. We ordered a latte and mochacino, only to be told they didn't have it, 25 minutes after we ordered. What they failed to tell us was that they did have cappuccino. We had to keep looking for our server who often disappeared into the back room of the restaurant. He even forgot to give us our bill which was had asked for, and it was only because he saw all of us staring at him while he tucked into his dinner that he remembered he was our server.The bathroom was absolutely disgusting and dirty. Over all it was expensive and absolutely lousy, I would NOT EVER eat here, unless you want to be out of money and have the worst possible experience in little Italy.

My neice and I visited NY to do a little shopping. We had lunch at Puglia and it was truly a treat. We will return there again on our vext visit!

Haven't been to Little Italy in years, went with a group yesterday to celebrate the birthday of a good friend. We sat for approximately 45 minutes, trying to get the waiter to at least serve us some drinks, it was like we were not there. Finally we were served a pitcher of yellow water with unknown particles floating about. When we brought this issue to the waiter's attention he immediately said "It's cheesecake".. Why there would be cheesecake in the water was beyond me. A group of six were seated at the adjacent table 15 minutes after we were seated, but they had there appetisers already on the table. We finally grabbed our waiter and asked if we could order and he stated, " We will have to wait until "Jorge" the pianists stops playing. The whole experience was a nightmare. "Never again"!..We finally went across the street to "Vincents", where we were treated like royalty...and the food was excellent...
