Simply Amazing

Amazing place, food was tasty, service was friendly, atmosphere was nice. We went there with the family and everything was satisfying, nothing was overdone. I didn't have a chance to check wine bar upstairs but I will definitely go back. We just loved it. Thank you Punch for a great experience.

worst restaurant experience as of yet in nyc

my food was salty. my boyfriend's food never came. eventually the wrong order came. the waitress never wrote down our orders. she consequently forgot every time we asked for a drink. on complaining to the manager, was only told that he would cancel my boyfriend's order. therefore my boyfriend didn't even eat. friday night in flatiron and we were instantly seated. should have known... pathetic

Pretty nice place

I thought this place was pretty nice. Menu is now different but food was good, staff was really nice and atmosphere was just relaxing. They also have a wine bar upstairs. I will definitely go back.

Decent and little more

I took a few out of town guests to punch for dinner. While the atmosphere is very nice and the service is very friendly, the meal felt a bit low quality. The fondue starter we had was just ok, and was plenty for the entire table. Every one at the table had the Filet Mignon. The meal was not particularly well presented and tasted very average. Overall a decent place in NYC, but for a little extra money - you can go around the corner to Fleur De Sel and have your mind blown.

Food Review: Punch Bar & Grill

Sam Talbot's (Top Chef Season 2) restaurant in the far reaches of Gramercy. Punch Bar & Grill is on Broadway between 21st and 20th street. Not that I get too caught up in aesthetics, because they mostly just factor into the price and have nothing to do with the food, but I was struck by how nice of a space it was. You walk in through French doors right from the street. The bar is small, but swanky looking, and the ceilings are high. Then again, I bet some past reviewer has trashed this place's decor because the light fixtures mix with the artwork, and he/she probably knows more about that stuff than me. This place was excellent in every way. We had guests from out of town and were hoping to impress them and Punch delivered. I've already recommended the place to several of my foody friends.

Relaxing Retreat

I've have been to this restaurant a numerous amount of times in the past three years and it will always be one of my top 5 places to go for any occassion. It is like entering an outdoor restaurant in the islands. It's warm and refreshing on any given day and the breeze are the other patrons who always seem to strike up conversations with other unknowns. The staff and service attentive and approachable even on the most crowded days. The wine list is impressive as it carries the wines that you always look for but never find in a store. Punch is still a buried treasure waiting to be discovered.
