Was hesitant for raw vegeterian dishes but surprisingly rich, tasty and satisfying. Must have the Avo Kimchi hijiki roll, and veg lasagna. Elegant setting and very busy! Fit for Foodies!

Iam just completely in love with the place! friends have been raving about it for sometime ,But i just hadn't had a chance to make my way over..From the moment you walk in the friendly inviting ,atmosphere ..The friendly host and, Bartenders to the wait staff!!!!!! Ahh and then the Food! I was a bit skeptical at first Raw food..But I am sold ! It was worth the wait, Do YOUR SELF A FAVOR ,and if your looking for yummy and healthy..you must go...And the food is so good it feels sinful...But its Heavenly ...

went there for the first time last fall (it was also my first time tasting raw gourmet food) and was pleasantly surprised by the variety and taste of the dishes. We shared the sushi, lasagna and ravioli .... loved the raviolli! then 2 desserts which were a great discovery knowing they had no eggs, butter, flour! Prices are indeed expensive but everything is fresh and raw ingredients are not the usual staples (mainly for desserts). The garden is the way to go if weather allows it. Lunch menu doesn't have the full list and I wouldn't recomment it for first timers. Since then, I go to their cafe one lucky duck whenever I can, love their juices and mango pudding!

I wish I could eat here every single day. The food is really outstanding, and there are so many options for the different tastes of vegetarians and vegans. I always praise a restaurant for providing Veg options, but even more so when a Veg restaurant does the same. The service was a tad slow - along with the food. However, the exquisite wine held my date and I over. Unfortunately, I won't be able to return for a while because of the high prices of the menu, but I will recommend to friends.

I was nervous to try Pure Food and Wine as I'm not really into health food...but I must say its the freshest, most incredibly satisfying food...you'll never believe its good for you! The summer garden is enchanting and the drinks and desserts are the best I've ever had.

I have been to Pure a number of times, and the menu has evolved nicely as there's always sure to be an "ooh" or "ahh" evoking dish. Most recently, the stuffed mushrooms and tamale were superb. Flavors and textures that are at once both rich and delicate. Previous favorites include lasagna and tacos (my descriptions don't do them justice). Painstaking thought and preparation go into raw food that wouuld take hours to prepare at home, so one should be willing to pay up a bit for this delightful experience. Even an avowed carnivore will be impressed. Aside from the food, staff is down-to-earth, friendly, and generally attentive. And the space is casual and romantic if a bit crowded.

Before even tasting the first bite of food, sitting there in the garden is just gorgeous and a pleasure to be in! I understand that not everyone is used to raw or even vegan food, but I think with an open mind everyone would enjoy this beautiful place. The Spicy Thai Lettuce Wraps are one of the most popular dishes there and for good reason, they are amazing! Every summer they do something new with Squash Blossoms and it always comes out delicious. The macadamia nut cream in the Ravioli is so creamy it melts right in your mouth! Actually all the nut creams in their dishes are fabulous. Dessert here is amazing! The Mint Sundae is downright decadent, but if you don't like mint there are many other choices as well. Plus if you don't feel like sitting down for a full meal at the restaurant you can always go around the corner for amazing juices, smoothies and light nosh. This is by far one of my favorite places in the city! It is expensive so it is not an every day or even every week visit, but whenever possible I love to go here. Enjoy!

I was considering veganism when I dragged my friends into Pure Food. We were all amazed at the versatility of the dishes, the beet ravioli. The texture, flavor and color were all beautiful and delicious. The service was friendly and responsive, the decor was comfortable. With these prices and admittedly small portion sizes, I won't be making this a regular hang. But just to see the raw foods possiblilities in this restaurant is really inspiring.

I was expecting more interesting salads on the menu. I also went there not imagining how much they were going to charge for raw veggies and fruit. $5 for a very small pot of tea, and you can expect to pay $14 for any dessert, which was the best part of the meal. Still, it's hard to justify their prices when you know what you're eating. Price tags of $24+ for entrees are usually reserved for dishes containg fish, seafood, and more expensive meats, not zucchini and cucumbers.
