RED BAMBOO GOT RED RODENTS!

I have heard raves about this restaurant and have been years before but my sister, her boyfriend and I went there on Monday for lunch and my sister's boyfriend noticed a dying mouse by the foot of the lady across from us. He tried to inform the woman without alarming her, but was unsuccessful because she jumped out of her seat, dropped her fork and was totally disgusted. My sister's boyfriend then informed the waiter and went to get one of the COOKS to remove the mouse that FYI was still alive and then proceeded to take out the trash. I was utterly was disgusted and demanded that we leave immediately. My sister's boyfriend said we should have know when we saw the "GRADE PENDING" for inspection on the door. I also think the restaurant is too narrow and the bathroom too spooky. WILL NEVER GO BACK!

i recently went to the red bamboo for the first time with a friend that had previously dined there, i have to say the food was good but the customer service was terrible, they brought the food, did not come back to see if you were okay, we finished our meal and waited... and waited for someone to come back to ask if there was anything else, i wanted to place an order for takeout as well, and that took forever, the restaurant was not even full and our waitress was nowhere to be found... then she had the nerve to state the tip i left was too small! and asked my friend to tip her some more money!!!i purposely only left a $5 tip because of poor customer service, but to have the nerve to ask..my tip for her is develop more service skills/ my friend wanted to leave another $5 and i said no! if you work in a cusotmer service field, you need to understand that your mannerism and your attitude goes a long way/what you put out is what you get back/ be nice, smile always, even if you do not want to, it's your job and do not, i repeat do not ask for a tip/ if you did not get any, it means you did not deserve one!!!
TO MEAT OR NOT TO MEAT

My boyfriend and I went to this restaurant on a Friday night, a few months ago. There was a little bit of a wait but it was well worth it. The enivornment was very clean and quaint. The staff was very attentive and kind. The food was delicious. i am a vegetarian and he isn't but he's very open to trying new food. He says that I'm secretly trying to convert him, lol. I'm not :-) We are going this weekend because HE really likes the food. We have been to a few vegetarian/vegan restaurants and this is one of my FAVORITES!

thoughtful menu nice staff , small space great taste....I'm a vegetarian convert who still loves vegan junk food and fake meat comfort food from my carnivorous days ... but also plenty of plant based gems as well! I love this spot. Note if your eating with a group you wont be seated unless their all present due to the small space and busy rush. -D

great place for vegans with its special menu. it attracts people in all different ages. the bar man is friendly, and good at what he is doing. if you prefer, you can have a sit outside. you do not have to be vegan to taste this delicious menu, however you might feel you are surronded by those kind of people at some point. great music, and good service overall.
