the Romano's Red Rose Restaurant

Tony, Anne and son Santo will make you feel like family. Friendly atmosphere, good food, good prices and the best rice balls in New york. Enjoy the Sicilian specialties and the traditional Sicilian respect that make Red Rose an unparallelled experience in this modern World of otherwise indifferent, hurried service and care. Coming here for years and never disappointed.
ONE OF THE BEST RESTAURANTS IN BROOKLYN
By Johnschick on 11/30/2010
We took our out of town cousins to this restaurant by recommendation and was a bit apprehensive. Boy was I wrong in being so. The people there was great. Owner was one of the most hospitable hosts I have had the acquaintance to know. He treated us great. We started to order the appetizers and he stopped us and said to leave it to him. Wow what a treat, Rice Balls are to die for. Fried Calamari was cooked just right, Ceasar Salad was good and Crab Meat salad was unbelievable. Tomatoes and Mozzerella was so good. Cheese so fresh. We alll had different entre's and each was so delicious. Even the Bread was the best!.. They never rushed us and we ate and drank all nite . When the bill came we could not believe it. We thought he left something out but it was dirt cheap compared to other Brooklyn restaurants. I will definately go back again and again. Also the place is so quaint and cozy you dont want to leave.
Highly recommended for its delicious food and friendly atmosphere.

This is a terrific place. The food is always freshly prepared and absolutely delicious. The owners operate the restaurant and are always present, making each meal dependably a first-rate experience. The prices are great, the service is friendly and attentive and by your second visit, Santo will welcome you back with a smile that will light the room. It's not trendy. It's not fashionable. It's not snooty. It doesn't need to be any of those things to succeed. Highly recommended.
Absolutely the Best

I've been eating here for thirty years and have gotten to know the owner, Santo. It's the best Italian food I've ever had, and beats everything in Little Italy hands down. Special favorites are calamari marinara over angel hair (not on the menu) and eggplant parmigiana. And from day one the prices have always been the most reasonable anywhere. Delicioso!
A wonderful restaurant everyone should go to.

This is the best restaurant that I have eaten at; the food is always excellent and freshly cooked. I haven't eaten anything that I didn't enjoy at the Red Rose. The Calamari, rice ball, apple salad, bread, crab cakes are all so good and that is only to name a few of the great dishes that I have enjoyed there. The service is exquisite and I enjoy going there with my family and friends. It's a wonderful place to get engaged; how would I know because I got engaged here. This restaurant with all the good qualities is very affordable and I for one just love it. My grandkids love going there too it is very children friendly. Thanks for allowing me to write my review for this restaurant. Delicious, delicious, delicious. I had my daughter's wedding reception there, we have celebrated many birthdays there also anniversaries.
One of the Best.

After visiting restaruants for over 40 years here, I can assure you that Red Rose is one of the best restaurants of any kind in Brooklyn, featuring made to order Red Sauce selections but also offering an exceptional list of meat and fish specialties. Santo, the son who runs the room, is also a wine expert and the quality of the very inexpensive list shows it. Service and personal attention are also top notch. Red Rose is a true find.
