We dropped in here on a rainy NY morning. The service was good and the coffee was good (but not the best we had in NY) but the croissant and the pastry more than made up for it - they were the best we have tasted in long while. Light years away from the tasteless, unappetizing croissant that are sold everywhere else in the City - they were light and tasty - we almost felt that we had been transported to France! If you are in the vicinity I would recommend giving Rheon a try

Mediocre coffee is more than made up for by very good croissants, which are not of the typical American/Starbucks variety (doughy, sweet), but more like a proper French (flaky, buttery, well-baked). The lunch sandwich I ate there was good, though a bit expensive.

The half roast duck sandwich was delicious- tasted just like a Beijing/Peking duck wrap, but with bread. All sandwiches also comes with a choice of apple, banana or chips. I grabbed an apple, which was a huge ripe Gala and tasted excellent. At around 12:45 or 12:50, the line wasn't too bad. My order was processed very quickly (about 1 minute) and the cashier was helpful and friendly. I was with a group of 5 and we all received our lunches fairly quickly. Sat in the back patio area that looks into a playground (fenced off, thank god). It was sunny, but we stayed cool by sitting under an awning. Space inside was also plentiful (but occasionally narrow). Great place to grab a friend and grab a sandwich!

Everytime it amazes me. I can't stand it. Rude and pushy- then slow and confused.

The best I have ever had. The only thing I crave on a hot NYC summer day. Go here, get the gazpacho. You won't be sorry.

I hate negative reviews as a rule but... $10 for a piece of wafer thin mozzarella, a leaf of salad and an unidentified peanut like substance in a sandwich made with the most disgustingly hard bread. $3 for watery tasteless coffee. This place is vile but at least it looks pretty in a cafeteria at Ikea kind of way.

The storefront doesn't look compelling from outside. I walk pass this place everyday, surprisingly the set-up inside is consider clean and very comfortable seating layout and great courtyard seatings on the back. I had the full roast duck sandwich; it was perfect for lunch. The duck was cold meat, lean and enough fat to juice it up, clean sauce (enough not overpowering), the ciabatta bread was great. Overall so far; great yet different style of sandwich around the neighborhood. Will definitely comeback to try the wagyu sandwich.

I live around the corner from this place and have gotten lunch here at least 15 times. The food is generally very good -- the bread is phenomenal, and the sandwiches are tasty (I'm particularly a fan of the smoked salmon with miso cream cheese and the smoked turkey with that mushroom sauce). Most of the soups are also very good (but avoid the chicken and mushroom with cream). I'm a little worried though -- in the very beginning the sandwiches were made to order, but now they seem to be made ahead of time and quality has suffered. And those sandwiches (never very big to start with) seem to have shrunk a little. Service is very uneven -- mistakes are common, so check your bag before you leave. And they need to tell the staff whether that phenomenal bread comes with the soup and sandwich combo. Sometimes you get a little, sometimes a lot, but most often you don't get any at all (always sorely disappointing).

Went here based on the nice NYmag review, but the food left me unsatisfied. A potato soup of the day was dragged down by soggy, and not very good, slices of prosciutto and lacked depth. The duck sandwich had promise, but was filled with way too match fat and sauce. The best part was the crunchy housemade ciabatta bread.
