Terrible Dumplings

While the soups are quite tasty, the dumplings are the worst. As an avid dumpling connoisseur, I have had a lot of dumplings. This place is one of the worst I've ever had. The wonton wrapper falls apart as soon as it is touched....an annoying trait to deal with. How is a dumpling a dumpling if you are basically eating meat by itself and groveling around for the wrapper in your soup or salad? Not worth it at all.

This is a stylish change of pace for an affordable take-out type meal. You can of course eat in too but it's more a quick-dining type place. I used to eat there all the time when i worked in the neighborhood, and I had the pleasure of going there again recently. Love the edamame dumplings and the peanut sauce is great. I'd easily go with friends if i was looking to save some money.

Rickshaw is my favorite place to go when I get the hankering for a quick, tasty bite that's healthy and wont break the bank. I know some people complain because it's more expensive than Chinatown dumpling shops (which indeed are ridiculously cheap) but Rickshaw is convenient, close, and clean. Plus, I find that I shell out at least 8 bucks for a sandwich so I am more than happy to do so for 6 dumplings and a salad.

What a joke. Dumplings taste awful and are grossly overpriced. Go to Koreatown, Chinatown, anywhere else.

A simple dumpling house that doesn't involve me going to one of the run down (but tasty) places in Chinatown. . .the service could be a little more friendly but its no worse then the 1000 other places in the city. That said the place was clean, and the layout with the open kitchen confirmed that everything is fresh. The food itself was well worth the line. The steamed dumplings were tasty, the dipping sauces were thick enough to hang on, but not to pasty to overpower the flavor! I've ordered it with both salad and soup and both were excellent I'm not a sweets person so I didn't bother with the chocho dumplings that everyone is raving about but I have tasted the Watermelonade and it was the perfect compliment. Its the perfect location for a quick lunch (if you have an expense account there are better places!) thats tasty HEALTHY, clean, and its one of the best values in the city.

... but then it saves a trip to Chinatown. Overall, I found the dumplings OK and reasonably priced but not of the value you can get Downtown. The quick service makes up for what is lacking in flavour

considering its location - a corner of the city surrounded by overpriced make-your-own-salad bars and directly across the street from the cringe-inducing Outback Steakhouse - Rickshaw is an incredibly welcome addition. Six dumplings and soup or salad, plus a soda, plus tax comes to a round $10 - perfect for a quick lunch or a post-work snack. Go for the pan-fried over steamed, diet be damned - they're a thousand times better.

Overall pretty tasteless. Menu is confusing. The woman barking out the number isn't very pleasant. Head over to Dumpling Man on St. Marks.
