Review from a Japanese Perspective

Mr. Platt, do you realize that in Japanese, it is Shochu, not Soju (you misspelled it in Korean too.) As a food critic, I think you should get your terms right. And how can this be compared to Kabuki? Do you even know what Kabuki is? Your cultural ignorance is offensive. Rosanjin is incredibly expensive. I definitely can't afford to go there often. If you are not well versed in Japanese cuisine, you may not even be able to appreciate how good it is, in relation it is to how much it costs. Keep in mind this restaurant is not for everyone. However, as a Japanese person who has been raised in Japan and had Kaiseki multiple times in Japan, this is probably even better than many Japanese establishments in Japan. As a Japanese, I can tell you that this is very VERY genuine, high quality food. The quality of the fish is absolutely mind-blowing. All the prepared dishes have very subtle taste, so it is not overbearing, but just right. But, if you are ok with supermarket sushi and your budget limited, then it is not for you.
