We were tourists on the way to catch a bus to see the World Trade Center, and only had a few minutes to spare. I stopped in at Roxy's and asked the host if he could get us fed and out the door in something like 35 minutes. We told him we wanted pancakes, scrambled eggs and eggs over medium. Within 5 minutes the food arrived hot and fresh off the grill. Everything was terrific and the portions were enormous! We got the bill and paid and were out the door with time to spare. The food was so good and the service was so good that we went back for dinner later that evening. The reuben was a lb and a half, and the cheesecake was about the best I had ever had. I would love to go back there again.

I rarely post restaurant reviews, but I was compelled to inform others that this is an awful place with bad and over-priced food--and a really rude waitress on top of everything. Spare yourself the trauma and visit any of the other restaurants on the block. I am embarrassed to have ever stepped into this place in the first place--complete tourist trap.

My family was in New York for the first time and we could hardly wait to visit Times Square (which delivered!!). I thought a NY deli would be a perfect meal while there and boy was I disappointed. We all ordered sandwiches, ranging from $16 to $28. I figured it was worth the money, but not so. The corned beef, a signature deli sandwich, was so fatty I could not even chew it! It was actually gross. My daughter ordered a turkey reuben, and although it was really large, was really not that good. Also, there is no air conditioning in the restaurant and it was about 90% humidity - both inside and out. Sorry, but we will not be returning.

My daughter and I wanted to have a quick bite to eat before the theater and decided to go to Roxy. It was closeby and though the prices were very high, I figured the food would be good because of the location. Boy was I wrong. I ordered the crab cakes which arrived dry, tastless and nearly burnt....barely edible. There may have been some crab in the cakes, it was hard to tell. My daughter ordered the popcorn chicken. It arrived in a bowl with no garnish. Each item was about $15. We could have eaten at McDonald's for considerably less money and the food would have been better. The deli only had a few families seated when we walked in. They appeared to be from out of town. They probably didn't know any better either. I DO NOT RECOMMEND ROXY DELI and wonder how they stay in business serving such terrible food.
