Wonderful venue for catered events
By saraheard2001 on 11/14/2013
After having been a delighted guest at a party here, I was thrilled to have the opportunity to plan my husband's birthday party in the beautiful wine cellar room. Throughout the planning process, the manager Donald couldn't have been more professional and helpful (and patient in the face of my many dopey follow-up questions about cakes and place cards). The food choices were all incredibly tempting, and the guests are still commenting on how good the food was over a month later. The staff were top notch, from the one who introduced himself to me at the beginning and ran the whole party, to all the servers. It was all truly seamless, and I was actually able to enjoy being almost a guest at my own party rather than having to worry about the food or timing or anything really. Very much hope to have another excuse to hold a party at Scottadito's again. I recommend them unreservedly.
Top-notch service, hearty and delicious cuisine

I have eaten at Scottadito many times (both for dinner and brunch) and have always had a great experience. The food is robust and tasty, service is accommodating and readily available and the decor is rustic Italian farmhouse - without a trace of irony. I've enjoyed them enough to have my wedding rehearsal dinner here - and a memorable (and filling) time was had by all my guests.
Wonderful Birthday Party!

I hosted my mother's birthday party at Scottadito and it was truly wonderful! The private space in the wine cellar is perfect for parties of 20-40 people! We had passed appetizers that were very delicious and the food kept on coming! The staff was fabulous! They kept our wine glasses full and were extremely friendly. They let us play our own music and even though we were supposed to leave at 11, we kept the dance party going well beyond that and everyone at Scottadito seemed pleased! The tiramisu was delicious and I don't even like tiramisu. I highly recommend this restaurant for any private party and the price is right!

I held a Baby Shower here that I had to plan from Florida. The reviews were good and the tasters I sent came back very pleased, so I contacted Danielle and Donald and worked with them on the menu and arrangements. I couldn't be happier with the event. The food was outstanding and the service perfect. The venue was the atrium, full of light. Everyone loved the brunch menu and the flour-less chocolate cake. I was even able to get gluten-free pasta for myself, a real treat in an Italian restaurant. This was a great experience.
Need I say more ...

I found a large piece of metal in my pasta.

Do not book a private event here! I wanted to have my wedding reception here and over the course of the 8 months that I spent planning it with them, they went through 4 event managers and I only met the owner once and he was incredibly rude. In a short 2-sentence email he told me they were changing the restaurant's policy and after 8 months of planning this reception, they were no longer going to close the restaurant for a private event. Instead I could cut my guest list in half and hold the party in the back room. We had already decided on a menu, a final head count, invitations had gone out - it was a nightmare. Thank God I was able to find another venue with such short notice.
Good food, warm atmosphere

Everything from the apetizers to the entrees are good. I love the fireplace in winter.

I am on the road quite a bit and when I get to Brooklyn my favorite stop is Scottadito Osteria Toscana. Nowhere am I able to get the fine Tuscan cooking that is prepared here. The staff is wonderful, the service precise and not overbearing. In other words you feel as welcome as you would be going to a family dinner. The glass room in the rear is esquisite. "Manga" you are in for a real treat. I have not been dissapointed from anything on the menu.
JUST A GREAT NIGHT OUT

SCOTTSDITTO IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE RESTAURANTS TO GO TO. I LIVE IN QUEENS AND I TRY TO GO THERE ONCE A WEEK FOR DINNER. THE FOOD IS UNBELIEVABLE DELICIOUS. WHEN IM THERE IT MAKES ME FEEL LIKE IM AT HOME EATING DINER WITH THE FAMILY. I ESPECIALLY LOVE THE LAMB CHOPS. THE WAY THERE COOK THEM IS THE BEST THING ON EARTH
