A bit overpriced, and not as kid-friendly as they say...

Hey, I don't normally write reviews like this... but I think you need to know... The menu is a bit challenging for kids. It's also pricey. However, I prefer to consider "value" rather than just price. Frankly, the food was just okay. They said they'd make steak and mashed potatoes for the kids... we ordered it. A few slices of steak and literally a "painting" of mashed potatoes... a thin layer on the middle of the plate, on which the steak was laid. My seafood chowder was bland and the potatoes in it were underdone. My seafood pasta was drowned in parsley - way too much! My wife's swordfish was very dry. Staff was courteous - many of them! Lots of Maitre D's around with seemingly nothing to do. But I can't complain about the service. View of ice rink is nice. Just remember: Pricey, not that kid-friendly, average food, below average value... might be okay if you're a tourist. I live in the area and would not return. Where pricey equals $440+ for 2 adults and 2 children (1 glass of wine each adult)...

This is one of my go-to easy, nice restaurants for visitors. It's got a diverse menu (changes very frequently), and the food is always extremely good. The service is helpful, knowledgeable and not hovering. They're very good at selecting dishes for people with allergies, a plus for me. The dining room is lively without being loud, and the tables are far enough apart that I don't feel like I'm eavesdropping involuntarily. The only downside is that the dining room tends to be on the chilly side. Take a sweater!

I've gone here several times, but before the new remodel which I find rather cold. The service and food were always fine, and they had a great pre-theatre menu. Jackets are a must here!

Rockefeller Center is the last place one thinks of for quiet peaceful dinning. But the Sea Grill is just the place to unwind and enjoy a wonderfully prepared meal. Inside it is a quiet understated modern refuge. In the summer the outdoor dinning is adequately removed from the other Rock center dining places, and the fountain provides just the right ‘white noise” to sooth the soul. And the other type of sole, along with the fresh fish of the day makes the menu an interesting read. The kitchen is outstanding and only second to the fantastic wait staff. While expensive, the overall dining experience is truly delightful.

the salmon and mashed potatoes were great! the restaurant was a bit crowded for sunday brunch, but the complimentary screwdriver, mimosa, tea, or coffee makes up for it. they also have unique hand rolls - we tried the filet mignon with pineapple. it's good place to meet for brunch.
