For many years, great food. Not romantic but good fresh authentic food. Sabu-Shabu still fun thing to order on date or with friends.

Shabu-Shabu70 is a fantastic restaurant. From the moment you walk into the restaurant one is greeted by friendly smiles and a pleasant staff. The restaurant is bustling with what seems to be a local and loyal following as the manager chats the night away with frequent visitors but also keeps an attentive eye on tables that need assistance especially those who are first timers to the fondue like experience. My girlfriend and I tried the chicken and beef ShabuShabu and were extremely happy with our yummy choice. After a quick and painless explanation by our waiter on how to go about eating our meal we sat back, relaxed, and enjoyed some fantastic wine and great food. We also ordered some sushi to test the skills of the chef. Again we were not disappointed with our choice. It tasted very fresh and I would certainly recommend ShabuShabu as one of the better Sushi restaurants on Upper East Side. The Décor was absolutely stunning and I honestly felt that I was sitting in a local restaurant on an East Asian island somewhere in the Pacific and not in Manhattan. I highly recommend this hidden gem.
