The worst, greasy,overcooked and overrated burger ever!

Shake Shack lovers are in general, yuppie lemmings who can't imagine how Danny Meyer could make bad food. His other eateries are excellent, unfortunately fast-food is not his milieu. The milk shake was excellent and since the Shack was named for the shake maybe I'm a little harsh, but then again, NO! The burgers were greasy, small, not very flavorful and overdone. Good meat shouldn't be cooked well done. I know they claim a medium burger, but that's rubbish.The fries aren't awful and the line moved faster than I thought, but these and a chocolate malt aren't anythings to hang your hat on. Better off going to a local diner or if you have the guts, go to Jackson Hole and order a rare bacon/ mushroom burger and smile all the way 'til dessert

shake shack is definitely one of the better hot dogs in nyc. burgers are fine, but extremely overrated. however, better than the burger and reg. hot dog is the bird dog. shakes, concretes, and custards are great. the lines in msp. are too long, but the columbus branch is a much more manageable wait.

I love Danny Meyer's other restaurants., but I have to laugh at the sheeple lined up in Madison Square Park waiting for this ordinary food and thinking about how hip they are. The Park is very nice though.

Shake Shack is incredibly mediocre. You can find this food anywhere.

Shake Shack's specialty is fast-food style burgers, cooked to your liking. The burgers fit comfortably in your hand, like they've always belonged there. Cooked medium-rare, the burgers are melt-in-your-mouth tender, and quick to consume like Kellogg's Special K (with exponentially more calories). Make sure to try the chicago style dogs and delicious "concrete" shakes, thick and creamy with all sorts of mix-ins.

I am not a fan of burgers, at all - but one day my friend dragged me to the shake shack, i really didn't want to go. But, i ordered myself a Shack Burger with an order of fries and a chocolate milkshake, i must say that was one of my favorite meals. It was the best burger i have ever had. You can taste the freshness of the meat, paired with the fresh lettuce and perfectly sliced fresh tomatoes. The shake sauce is my weakness, it just makes the burger better than ever. Another weakness of mine at the shakeshack is the 'shroom burger, a deep fried stuffed with cheese portabello mushroom. You take a bite into the 'shroom burger and the cheese and shack sauce begins to drip down, its the most delicious thing ever. I am no vegitarean, but everytime i go to the shake shack, the 'shroom burger is my first choice. This place is great and worth the wait!

Definitely the best burger I've had and worth the wait, though the wait does make going at lunch difficult!

I've been wanting to try it out for a while. I don't mind the wait because the kids can run around in the park and we're pretty patient if it's worth it. SO we waited and we got our food and the people are nice. BUT we realized that it tastes like our local diner. The environment is nice because it's the park. But not worth the wait. We could have got some good food and sat in the park.

I won't go out of my way for Shake Shack. But if I'm in the area (and it's not lunch / dinner hours), it's a no-brainer to come for a burger or two. Sure, there might be better burgers out there, but Shake Shack is cheap, quick, and quite consistently tasty. People, slightly lower your expectations for a $3 burger!

Um it was fine the first year. Waiting an hour for a burger cuz you read about this in NY or TONY means you're pathetic.
