I ate here for the first time last week, ordering the beef burger with a side of potatoes. I have been dreaming about it ever since, it was by far the most delicious burger I have ever tasted, full of flavor and cooked to perfection.
Literally Drooling over Siggy's

I honestly feel like this is the only place I've been to in a long time that understands what people want to eat. The food is all locally bought, organic, (the staff was really knowledgeable and told me where they ordered their meat and veggies from...they seemed to know there business really well) and the prices were so reasonable. The walls are painted a really nice, sunny yellow and the music is cool and fun, not boring background tunes. We started with a bottle of a nice organic wine - a zinfandel - which we were really thankful for bc it was delish and and because i finally woke up with zero hangover today. We decided to start with the artichoke plate. The artichokes were cooked to perfection and they went beatifully with the shaved parmesean and black olives. Excellent way to start the dinner. For our main course, I had the salmon special and my husband got the turkey burger. The (wild) salmon tasted so fresh and it was so well seasoned, and I loved that it came with something called Black Forbidden Rice, so sexxxy. Husband loved turkey burger, it came with all his favorite accoutrements (onions, seasoning, ketchup, crisp lettuce). We also got a side of the sweet potato wedges, which were close enough to french fries to make me happy, but weren't greasy so I knew I wasn't being too bad. Anyhow. Thank you Siggy for making such good food.

Love Siggy's! the food is delicious, all organic, feel light yet tasty. I have been to Siggy's everyday in the last year, the food is so good you cannot stop thinking about it. it seems casual but it also offer great dinners, best Salmon I have ever had. with out a doubt all organic, you can tell. it's fun, happy not pretentious. Good wine MUST TRY, YOU WILL THANK ME. I read some of the reviews people really have no lives and sound very spoiled.

Get a fresh squeezed apple-carrot juice and the quinoa avocado salad, and walk out feeling so much better than you did before. I found this cafe (practically next to the Brooklyn Heights Cinema) to be my favorite new spot. Makes me want to go to the movies every week, so I can keep coming back here.

I was walking by in company of a friend visiting NYC for his first time and who lived in Europe for many years. I have been here for over 15 years and had dinner at hundreds of cool (and not so cool) places, including fancy ones like Le Bernardin and Eleven Madison to name some, I am a fairly good connoisseur as I am a good cook myself. I have to say that we were a bit hesitant when we learned the restaurant was organic since we are both reluctant to believe in the significant advantages of it, anyways we gave it a try and I had one of the best sandwishes in my life and my friend enjoyed his burger very much. Even the organic beer (from UK) was good, not to mention the carrot juice. Bottom line I will try the rest of the menu one item at a time.
Our favorite casual eatery in NYC

We live in Brooklyn Heights and our saving grace in NYC's over-oily and overwrought food scene is this fabulously little eatery that reminds us the best of California cuisine. We've tried most things on the menu and let me tell you, it's not only healthful (organic salads, hormone-free beef, wild salmon burgers) but absolutely delicious. The salads are crisp and fresh, smoothies so yummy it rivals the best places I know for casual organic foods in West Hollywood and Santa Monica, where I used to live. Food here tastes natural, not drowned in heavy sauces or overcooked beyond taste or recognition as is the tendency of so many NYCchefs. People who find Siggy's food appalling have no idea what is good for them. Then again, I find most of NYC's restaurants (even fancy ones) lackluster, and I feel sorry for people brainwashed into overpaying for crappy food. The restaurant scene is so much more colorful, delicious and stylish in San Francisco and LA. Back to Siggy's... The vibe is international hippy/cool. The wait staff occasionally slow, but always responsive and helpful once they notice you sitting there.
