Having not visited Soba-Ya for several months, my boyfriend and I dropped by for lunch last weekend...and we were reminded of why this is place is known for their noodles! We each got a lunch box (a recent addition to menu, I think) and were amazed by the amount of food we got for $15 a pop. Salad, tempura, broiled salmon, a variety of pickles, oh my. But of course, the star of the show is still the freshly-made soba: light, delicately flavored, and perfectly cooked. If you're looking for the real thing, this is where you're guaranteed to find it.
