This place is a joke...what a shame that this is considered a hot spot in NYC...Cafe Socialista and Socialista should come up in the dictionary when you look up the definition for delusions of grandeur. RUDE staff. The bouncers are ridiculous... Sucker punching people..taking fights tot he street when they should be mediating situations... The general manager of the downstairs area- Angela- is a snob and completely unprofessional. I wouldn't send my worst enemy here.

I went there with a group of people before hitting the lounge upstairs. Tostones were alright, but the chipotle chocolate sauce that came with was a bit spicy and yummy. Pechuga Y Piernita (Chicken dish) was small, but very tasty. The space is small, cozy, and pretty. The sangria is not so sweet and fruity, but luscious.
