Not what I had expected

I thought this was going to be a great experience. The bar was beautiful but I was immediately let down . My glass of wine was not nearly a 6 oz pour and upsetting considering I paid 13 dollars. The menu was very limiting- 3 entrees. It was overpriced and I would not go back again. To pay 30 dollars for a steak and no sides, is just not what I am looking for. Too small portions for what I expected.

Only one complaint!

Love the decor and the menu. The staff is super friendly. My only complaint is the music. I don't know who's idea it was to play the entire Red Hot Chili Peppers catalog, but for a place in this chic LES location the music was terrible. The only place the chili peppers belong is the in the food.

Delish!

I went on a friend's recommendation and was not disappointed! (I recommend the duck pate and the lamb ragu.) Very unique dishes, and the best way to enjoy them is by getting a number of small plates to share. The space was nice, and the service was excellent.

Did not expect the meal to be as amazing as it was. I nearly licked every dish. Tried quite a few things and everything exceeded expectations. Will definitely be going back.

Waitresses Ruined it for Chef

I dined at Sorella on Friday night and experienced the absolute worst service I've had at a NYC restaurant in recent memory. We had the displeasure of being served by two waitresses who couldn't seem more annoyed at the remote thought of doing their job. It's too bad because the food was very good and the wine list was interesting. I would never consider going back to Sorella because the service was seriously offensive. I complained to the manager, and although he was helpful, if the owner wants to stay in business she should seriously consider hiring a new wait staff.

Great spot

Over the past year this has quickly become into one of my favorite restaurants in the city. They serve beautiful Northern Italian food with a well priced wine menu - I am typically very pleased with their <$50 bottles of reds. The decor/ambience is great and the staff is very friendly. It's definitely a great date spot as all of the items on the menu are meant to be shared. I highly recommend the tempura broccoli (trust me - it's amazing), the pate, and the lamb ragu pasta. If were in my immediate neighborhood I would probably eat here once a week.

Dissapointing destination

I found the food over-seasoned and salty, bordering on inedible. The atmosphere was pleasant, but seemed oddly incongruous with the neighborhood. The service was good, with an efficient and friendly wait-staff. The dessert was amazing and the espresso quite serviceable. Overall, rather disappointing considering the trek it takes to get there.
