The food is okay. The service is awful.

The food was beyond average. This place is a really bad attempt at someone cashing in on the 'natural health conscious' market by a person who has probably never eaten a healthy - let alone vegetarian meal in their life. They serve up inedible bland slop. I thought i was in a gruel kitchen. And the ambience has the vibe of a bad 80's sports bar... served by guys that look like bouncers in black shirts with bad cologne. I'm not sure how further from natural u can get. I initially went based on the reviews on this site - which i now realize upon second reading - are all fake.

A large group of us went to Spring Street Natural for lunch today. Yummy! All of us were just raving about our meals. Hearty, diverse selection. Meat dishes, vegetarian dishes and vegan dishes. Healthy but they didn't seem "granola" -- it was just obviously fresh, clean, healthy ingredients. Not greasy. A nice big space too, they had no problem seating our group of 9. Though we did have a reservation. I would absolutely go back and i would definitely take friends even if they aren't into healthy food as they can still get a burger.

I used to be one who was automatically turned off by the word natural or organic in restaurant names. This turned out to be one of the best places I have been in New York so far. The jazz on thursday nights its amazing and perfect for a romantic dinner. The food was unbelievable and has brought me back many times. Truly a gem.

The Sunday brunch menu offered a nice variety of interesting choices for meat eaters and vegans. The wait staff was patient and knowledgeable and attentive. Great coffee (Organic/Free Trade)and good food for very reasonable prices. Very relaxing decor - lots of room between tables and near interesting boutiques and the Spring Street Subway stop.
