This place is amazing...my husband and I were visiting NYC and decided to check this place out, we had plans to go somewhere after dinner but ended up staying at STK the vibe was awsome the music was fantastic...we closed the place down I mean just awsome...;)

I heard great things about this place and decided to give it a try for a birthday dinner. The hostesses, although not rude, would certainly benefit from a charm class or two. We arrived early to have cocktails at the bar where they charged me for the blue cheese olives in my martini- so gauche- then sat us a half hour late for our reservation. Our table was cramped and noisy enough that I had to continuously ask the server to repeat himself. He was patient and knowledgeable although they were out of two of the bottles of wine I tried to order. Thankfully the food was great and worth the wait. Didn't stay for dessert and would definitely go back. Make sure you if you check your coat, you get the right coat back.

STK could not make me feel any cooler to live in NYC. I took my wife and sister in law out for their birthday to STK. The decor is absolutely amazing. It is one of the nicest looking restaurants I have seen in NY so far, and I have been to some of the great ones. Our server was very attentive, knowledgable, and made great recommendations. The food was also very good, although not as spectacular as the decor. The Shrimp Rice Krispies starter was very good and unique. Our steaks were good, but we've had better at BLT. Our sides were ok, I have had better parmesan truffle fries at Bette. The mac and cheese side was very good. Dessert was a warm chocolate smore which was also very good. Overall a great dining experience.

I've been there a few times with friends, and I have to say when you're eating there the service is outstanding. It feels like you have an entire staff waiting on you. Plus the decor is very trendy and the people are too. The fireplaces in the columns are a great touch (I've only been during the winter, not sure if they are going during any other seasons). Would recommend to anyone looking for a trendy restaurant with lots of energy. Be prepared to drop about $100+ however. Oh, yeah and the food is fantastic too.

STK was one of the best restaurants I've eaten at. I have been on many corporate trips and have eaten at a fair amount of 4-5 star restaurants. This restaurant was recommended to me by a work colleague who grew up in New York. I was looking for a "sexy restaurant with just as much appeal in the surroundings as there would be on my plate". My boyfriend of and I came here before New Years to celebrate the holiday and our 3 year anniversary. The tuna tartare was the best I ever had, lamb chops and pepper ribeye steak (on special that night) were tender enough to cut with a fork and beautifully plated. Do yourself a favor and try the dirty martini with blue cheese stuffed olives or the strawberry martini made with real puree and rimmed with graham cracker crust. Our server was very attentive to our needs, but not overwhelming and persistent/annoying. Hostesses were polite, and initially sat us, then moved us to a more comfortable location. Coat check was friendly and prompt. You get what you pay for. Quality and excellence both to the eyes and pallette.

I celebrated my birthday at STK and it was a great night. The restaurant is super-cool, yet doesn't try too hard. It was kind of slow that night, but it was a Sunday after all. The tuna tartare was one of the best I've had, and the small filet medallion with blue butter sauce was amazing. The parmesean truffle fries were a hit amongst my group, but we love truffle, we love cheese and we love fries - so no surprise there. I would reccommend (and have many times) for anyone looking for a great meal, to go to STK.

stk is fantastic. yes their hostess staff could be a lil more friendly then chilly, but basically you are going for the food and the atmosphere. the parmasan truffle fries and the mac and cheese yummmy. the medium stk skirt with the bold stk sauce so good, and of coruse you have to have warm smores. staff is friendly and the wait is long but once you sit down its worth it.

My thoughts on the STK restaurant are different from what this site potteries. The services are outstanding as is the food. This place was truely great. The food was delicious and some to dream about. Yes the prices were expensive but well worth it. STK is a place that everyone should visit. Celebrities are known to also make visits at this restaurant.
