I don't understand exactly what everyone's talking about when they say that the people at Superfine are rude. Maybe these reviewers are non-native New Yorkers, but the servers and hosts/hostesses at Superfine are nothing out of the ordinary attitude-wise. They're not particularly rude, nor do they fawn all over you. You go here for the very reasonably priced food, the excellent drinks, the DJ, and, if you live in DUMBO, the convenience. These aspects of the restaurant will not disappoint. As for the service, what do you expect? It's Brooklyn.

With their astoundingly surly table service, bland yet overpriced food, decor that takes me back to the late 90's and brings to mind adjectives like "funky" and "alternative", it's lucky for them that Superfine has such a captive local audience (being one of the very few places to get brunch or even sit-down food of any sort in Dumbo).

I was there last week and had the most juicy and tastiest pork chop dinner! I live in Manhattan, but go to DUMBO as much as I can for that arts-community feel (which is now threatened with extinction with all the new development there). That is why Superfine is so special. The decor and regular art shows promote a creative crowd and I've met some nice and interesting people. There is a trunk full of toys for patrons with children, and they have an ecclectic mix of live music. Friday and Saturday nights tend to get too crowded for my taste though and I avoid those nights. It's a fun lively place to be for any age.
Nothing but bad attitude and bad Food!

This place is absolutely terrible! I went there for lunch one time and got what they called a salad, but was in fact only lettuce, and it wasn't washed. There was sand in it. When I asked to replace it I got attitude!! They did not replace it, a proceeded to charge for it. All I got was attitude. I also went for drinks with friends once and the waitress was very impatient and insisted we pay her tip while we were still drinking because her shift was ending. Bad. Very bad.

pretentious, pretty good food, quality ingredients. Have tried all their red wines, but none are very good. Their pork chops are great. Too bad the people working there have this pretentious wanna be superior aura to them. All women who seem to think they are really cool, which is weird, since none of them are very hot nor hip. It's just a bratty attitude thing.
Great place if you're seeking snob

This place is "super-trend" without any of the class. The service was amazingly slow and the attitude we got when we tried to flag someone down was strange- our super-hipster waitress seemed to completely disappear after our appetizers were served. She was sooo proud to announce to us, after we finally received the check, that the owners want to keep their little 'jem' of a restaurant a secret by refusing to be listed in Zagat. Ooooo, you're way too cool for me. They were probably afraid the place would get a poor rating. The food? It was alright if you like overpriced, trendy dishes but guess what? There are other places to eat in DUMBO now so I won't be going back. And they ARE listed in Zagat.

I went on a saturday night and totally dug this place. Great drink prices, fun bartenders and great decor. There was a nice mix of hipsters, locals and general oddballs. Plus the dj ruled
Superfine is a SUPER, FINE TIME!

This place is amazing! We had no idea what to expect when it was recommended to us by a friend, so my girlfriend and I gave it a whirl one evening. Just the decor alone is enough to bring us back! The art exhibit on the wall is aesthetically pleasing and changes every so often, allowing different artists the chance to exhibit their work, and the public a chance to enjoy it, free of charge. Aside from the hanging art, the whole atmosphere is creative, and the pool table is made of ORANGE FELT! Need we say more? So, we sat down for a bite to eat and ordered the calamari salad. This was the most luscious calamari we had EVER had, AND we eat a LOT of seafood! The menu is eclectic, yet simple, and consists of delicious well-thought out combinations. This is definitely a recommend, for drink, food, or just a place to kick back and take in the good energy! Check it out!
Why the attitude?

This place is pretty cute, and the orange-felt pool table is great. But what's with the attitude? I was contemplating having a party here last year, and the bartender couldn't have been less helpful about it. Food's pretty good though, and atmosphere is nice.
