I have to say it is my absolute new favourite in NYC the restaurant looks great, the interiors are very nicely done. This joint ozzes class. The Bar is one of the best any restaurant in NY has and the food is heavenly, had the crab appetizer and the nizami keema just the right amount of spice and the lamb was tender and juicy, in the main course we had the Dover sole in a clay pot which was great, the only thing the pot was very very hot, the venison chops with pickling spices was one of the best venison I have ever had, the lobster masala was out of this world and the mushroom nan was my favourite bread. We had a great waiter who knew what he was talking about. In desserts the kulfi is worth trying . Overall just a great place and a welcome addition to the neighbourhood. Will be back soon

I totally disagree with some of the reviews posted, I had dinner with some friends at this place yesterday and I have to say it was outstanding and the service was spot on. The crab appetizer was flavorful and tasty, the lamb chops and the seabass from the tandoor was just out of this world and the kulfi was amazing. I would definately go back

Had dinner here last Sunday on the last seating of the night. The experience was amazing. The spicy buttery lamb was creamy, zesty and spicy all at the same time. I could have that for breakfast every day. The other standouts were dessert. The first was lychee sorbet with carrot halva. It was just incredible how the richness of sorbet had the right consistency and creaminess . The other was a chocolate cheese cake with passion fruit dressing. If only reservations weren't so hard to come by!

The food is delicious, period! and actually not overpriced if you think about the quality you are served. I was trying to get seats for me and my gf for our anniversary. we were lucky to snatch a spot on monday afternoon for tuesday night 9:30pm. we were super excited and welcomed by friendly staff and a very quiet, intimate atmosphere. Food was super delicious and satisfying. we enjoyed this new way of fine dining in front of the glass tandoor watching chefs prepare our meals. highlights were the soup, the lamb and the shrimp. Followed by indian kulfi paired with a glass of reymos. I'll be back for sure.

I have been here a few times with my wife and also a group of friends. Each time has been exceptional. Walias really has it down, and his staff are top-notch. You can tell a restaurant has a good front of house when you arrive for your reservation and you do not have to wait for your table very long, even though the restaurant is packed with people. The place is buzzing with energy, and the elegantly done interiors give it a neighborhood classy feel. On a recent night there, we sat next to Candace Bergen at one table and Jimmy Fallon at another. The food is solidly good and dare I say even better than any indian restaurant in nyc. I had the achari venison. It was simply delicious. The rasmalai is not to be missed, so save room for dessert! I cannot say enough about what a wonderful experience dining it is. I can honestly say, it is not just hype!
