I don't know what the reviewer is talking about. I LOVE this restaurant and think that the food is AMAZING. I especially love the Hot and Sour Soup (flavorful and not oily) and the sesame chicken (request for it to be made with white meat and not to be fried).

This review is very far off course. The food at the Tang Pavilion is all original and fresh. The chestnuts are not canned, they are freshly prepared every morning by the chief owner. I don't know where you found supposed canned chestnuts, but I think you just don't understand Chinese culture very much. The food at the restaurant is very authentic and the service is excellent. Excuse the pun, but your review is extremely "gross." - Michael

This is without doubt the best Chinese retaurant in New York both for its excellent food and its gracious service.
