We go here often, so we were especially shocked at the manager's behavior last night. My friend and I had dinner at a table for two, and then were joined by a third friend who came in to have a glass of wine. An hour later the manager (actually their wine director) came to our table and told us - in a really rude tone - that someone complained about the 3 of us sharing a table meant for two, and told us we have to leave the table and go to the bar. Not only did his tone take us by surprise, but also the fact that 1) all the other tables were closer to each other than we were to our neighbors, and 2) half of the restaurant was empty but he didn't offer to try and seat us elsewhere. He did try to offer us a drink on our way out, but at that point we were so upset that we just wanted to leave. The restaurant itself is fine, but the manager handled this in the worst way possible. If he approached us and apologized for having to move us, we would have been totally ok with it. Instead he practically yelled at us (and it was his staff who allowed us to sit at this table to begin with), losing loyal customers in the process.

I walked into Tarallucci e Vino on a Saturday night with my fiance. I was a little surprised at how empty it was, but the food was fantastic. I had the spaghettoni with saffron sauce and the rice cake with crispy duck, pumpkin and beets. The chef delicately balanced each dish and I left completely satisfied with my meal. My fiance was equally happy and he's a tough customer. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys Italian food, and save room for dessert!
