Great Food at a Tavern?!

Usually tavern food is barely adequate because you mostly go there to drink. Not so at Tavern on Jane, the food is consistently very good The ambiance is friendly, warm and way cool. Seems they always play the best music too. A NYC must.

...even better, skip it entirely. This dark, dank noisey little neighborhood place is overrun with screaming kids and carriages, and the food is nothing special. Not even sure why Tavern is included in NY Mag's lineup!
