We loved the pastries and the atmosphere of the place. My boyfriend actually thought he was in France and at one point said, "pardon." The mixed tart was great and the latte was good, but slightly heavy on the cream. The french toast was AMAZING and we crave it...right now. The baguette is the closest we've had to Parisian baguettes and it came warm with the soup. The soup was good, but nothing special. The waitress asked us several times if we were sure we wanted all of the food we ordered...so basically she thought we were really fat (we are not fat! I'm a size 2). When I had finished my meal, the waitress asked again if I still wanted my fruit tart, which I did and thoroughly enjoyed. She made us laugh though and it was fun.

SERVICE IS OFFENSIVE

  • No, I would not go back!

To say the japanese waitstaff here is rude and aloof, would not do the shameful attitude justice. The waitress was plainly offensive. In cramped space, she threw a menu down, hovered over me with pen to take the order w/o waiting for me to read it. To ask for water, salt or a question on the menu, was met with sneers and eye rolling...almost laughable. But what followed was not. My dry sandwich (4 scraps of asparagus and cheese slapped on) came without dressing or condiment -or flavor. I requested mustard or dressing as it was dry, the waitress sneered and flatly lied, "No mustard". HUH??? I asked how about dressing, she nastily barked NO! "No????" she then dismissed me with rolled eyes and insisted "Only fo [sic] salad", stormed off. This had to be a joke? So I asked for the owner/chef, who did bring oil AND mustard. And AFTER ALL THAT, the Japanese chef followed my friend (a regular) OUT onto the street and told her to never have us come again!! IS HE KIDDING??? I never wish to return again -never have I received such offensive and insulting treatment in my entire life.
