Just a terrible place for anything. The surrounding bars are much better and if they werent surrounding this place no one would go. Bad service, to cramped and way to expensive!!! This place definitely tries to be something its not.

Canada is not particularly known for it's distinct culinary tradtion, so I was a little confused when I read about the opening of Inn LW12 on the JuliB site. When I finally got around to checking it out, I saw that there is indeed a lot of folksy charm in the woodsy, townhouse decour. Nonetheless, the food wasn't particularly interesting, and the attempts to add interest to the menu just ended up being confusing.

The Inn LW12 represents itself as a Canadian gastro pub. While this wonderfully designed and decorated townhouse in Meatpacking does have the feel of the Adirondacks or Muskoka in Canada, the food and service is more south of the border - slow and uninspiring. The second level dinning room promises a wonderful meal if only the kitchen and wait staff delivered. The food is barely acceptable. The organic chicken and lamb burger were OK, BUT JUST OK. The wait staff seems needier than most Meatpacking service staff. Perhaps the clients do not demand more, or perhaps the management just does not care. The wine list promises, but apparently the cellar is currently emptyof any reasonably priced wines.
