Must have these tasty scones! I liked blueberry. The berry gave a bit of softness in the scones and hint of salt was a delightful surprise. I was told if I come early, I can indulge fresh out of oven scones. Then, I asked myself, is it worth coming here all the way from West Village? I said "YEEEEES!"

I traveled to Williamsburg for a first date, specifically because my date was looking for a good Irish coffee (IC) after hearing me explain how good the one I made was. An IC should be made the way they do at the Buena Vista in San Fran, two cubes of sugar, coffee, Irish whiskey and fresh whipped cream on top. The Rabbithole certainly does not come close. The IC didn't come with whipped cream, but instead a side of Bailey's. I'm not against more alcohol, but that's not the point. Kudos though when the server brought my IC back with the whipped cream I requested. My date didn't like her drink either - at the end of the date she made a point of saying, "Next time we go out, let's get good drinks."

I went to this place with my Brother and Sister-in-Law last Saturday to have a nice, quaint lunch. Upon arriving my S-I-L asked how long the wait would be for three people for lunch, and the somewhat spaced-out host said " minutes, maybe"--so she gave her name and we went to the bar to have a drink whilst we waited. As we were sitting there ten minutes went by and people were getting seated, as we were on a time limit, we asked the host as he passed by how much longer he scratched his head and looked back she realized her name wasn't even on his list waiting to be seated. He said "they are clearing a table now"--okay. Right after three people passed us that gave their name after ours. we settled up at the bar and my brother calmly explained to the guy we were leaving because he was giving us the runaround and clearly didn't care about our concern if he sat the other party before us. He actually smirked and laughed, so then my S-I-L, who works for Serious Eats, calmly just let him know that who she worked for and that she was forming her opinion of the place based on their terrible customer service rather than their food and that she would let the followers know that if you can even get seated or seen to maybe the food is better than the deplorable service. Maybe it was a bad employee, who knows. It was seriously annoying nonetheless. Also my "food" review is based on a drink I ordered "The Gardner" which was really nothing to rave about for $8.
