Besides the fact that this is the first resturant i've been to that actually mastered the art of using spanish paprika (the food doesn't taste like a smoked piece of wood) the atmosphere and the lovely staff make it a resturant i try to frequent as often as possible. The sangria is amazing, the best i've had sicne spain, and the deviled egss are to die for. Even if one has to wait for a table, and i've waited for hours before, the atmosphere and glass of sangria in your hands makes the time fly buy.

you will have to wait, even for a party of two on a tuesday, but the hostess gives accurate wait times, which helps. grab a glass of wine and chillout, because the food is worth it! definitely try the squid in it's ink. our waiter was super nice and didn't mind us ordering two rounds of tapas even though the place is tiny and i'm sure they could have used the table. my favorite of the tapas places i've tried in nyc so far.

I have been on the search for authentic Spanish Tapas every since I returned from Spain. Mario Batali's Bar Jamon came close, but Tia Pol has no doubt overtaken Bar Jamon in terms of taste and quality. I brought some of my Catalan friends to Tia Pol and they loved it. The atmosphere is incredibly romantic but it's not good for large groups or families. But it's perfect for happy hour type get togethers, business meetings, a few friends meeting up, and of course the romantic date. The price is also moderate. Not too expensive. But if you're planning on making a complete meal out of Tapas, don't come starving--it could put a bit of a dent in your pocket. Wonderful and simple wine selection also.

The wait was a bit long and the restaurant is tiny, but the food was fresh and delicious and extremely resonable. The sangria was really tasty as well.

Great little place for wine & tapas! Would highly recommend - far better than casa mono & bar jamon which we sampled the night before. Staff was very pleasant - would go back in a New York second!

I love coming here for wine and chorizo! Veal bone Marrow (its a little taste of heaven), Lamb skewers, Chorizo al Jerez, and chorizo with chocolate (an interesting and genius combination)are their best dishes.

Even though the space is tiny and the wait was long, the food made up for both factors. The Sangria was very unique and tasty. I would recommend getting the shrimp, the potatoes and the deviled eggs. My friend were also blown away by the lamb skewers.

Never fails. I love the food here. Great chill atmosphere and some of the best Spanish tapas in the city.

I love this place-- that's really all I can say. I've been to Spain many times, and I can say that this is the real deal. The only drawback is that Tia Pol does not accept reservations. Besides that, this place is golden!
