Small Entrees for Price

I went there for lunch and ordered the fish tacos. For $16, I received two tacos with small portions, a tablespoon of black beans and 1/4 cup of rice. Certainly the quality of the food was better than average for Mexican in New York. But the prices are just silly for the actual amount of food they're giving you. Perhaps if you're with a group, order a bunch of appetizers, and a few drinks, the small size of the entree doesn't matter to you.

Great Tequila

We went in one night randomly for drinks. I got the signature house Toloache margarita and my friend got a regular margarita and a shot of Don Eduardo Tequila. Both very smooth! One thing I can say is that this place has a TON of tequila choices and the manager is very hospitable and loves to offer recommendations. We wanted to try their seasonal fried grasshopper tacos but they were still waiting for the next batch to be caught in Mexico! We ended up getting the spicy guacamole and chips which is fresh ground in front of you. Overall I enjoyed everything and would definitely go back for a full meal and more tequila!

Scrumptious!

Ate at the ceviche bar. Shared the ceviche trio. The tuna was fantastic with the heat of the chilies and watermelon. Loved every bite of the fish taco! Also enjoyed the steak taco and chicken quesadilla. Look forward to returning!

Not sure what I ordered (waiter suggested it), I was not sure what it was when it came out (eek!).. but it was really REALLY good. Very tasty. My friend got something weird lookin too, but again she really liked her dish. I would def recomend this place. The service was friendly and pretty quick. The room was small, but nice.... Oh and the cocktails were excellent..

After watching 'I Love You, Man' (so cute!) I was craving some delicious fish tacos. Toloache seemed like a nice variety and decided to have a late dinner there on Thursday. The food was so-so. The original guacamole was Fantastic and it came with nice warm chips and a side of this tomato dip which had a hint of spice. I had the pescado taco which was okay, the tilapia was fried with coleslaw on top of it. Not what i was expecting. The tacos were apparently only 'appetizers' which I didn't see why. My boyfriend's paella had lots of seafood which was great but had tangy sauce all over it which was a wrong move. The waiters were attentive and very accommodating. Overall: Great environment, especially for sangria (red and white) and guac but food was expensive and too much going on.

Inventive Mexican

Not really a big a Mexican fan but I really loved the food here. I couldn't get enough of the fruit guacamole and warm chips. The lobster tacos were amazing and the margaritas were so yummy. The atmosphere is hip and the restaurant was really hopping. I'll definitely be back
