I took a client there this week and I was very unhappy with the service, the food wasn't editable, and I felt I was overcharged. I went there to impress my client because I read all these positive reviews but now after I experienced it for myself; Iâ€™m convinced that all these reviews are FAKE!!! They are the total opposite of the experience I had. I went in there hungry and left hungrier. I wouldnâ€™t go there againâ€¦

i hail from manhattan and very rarely leave the island. but my parents came to town and my dad loved tribeca grill, so i thought it'd be fun to take him to chef pintabona's (tribeca's grill old exec. chef) new restaurant out in queens. it only took about 35 mins to get there by cab from the upper east side (which is as long as it takes me to get to work in the west village) so the trip was actually pretty normal for a night out. my parents, were totally impressed with the decor and food. the house was beautiful and very tasteful. my mom loved the hollywood feel and my dad was so down with the rib steak with the bone in. he's a steak aficionado more or less and they made it just how he wanted it. and he's definitely sent steaks back before. i got the homemade ravioli since i'm addicted to cheese and loved it. i wish my sister was with us so we could have tried another entree! our waiter was nice and respectful and we had a great time. definitely would recommend.

I should start out by stating that my wife and I visit upscale restaurants regularly. I heard about Valentinos was opening sometime in April, to no avail. We visited the restaurant on Saturday evening and was very displeased with many things. To start the service pace was very, very, slow. It seems that there was alot of confusion, although the staff was pleasant, which is always expected. The food left a lot to be desired. We started off with 2 salads which we had no problem with, but then I ordered the Ribeye Steak which was very tough and no taste, my wife had the Salmon which was dry. We passed on the desserts after not enjoying our dinner. Maybe they need time to get it together, but I don't think I will return. I wasn't impressed.

I was so impressed with the new owners of this place! Everything from the landscaping to the chandeliers to the wood floors is absolutely beautiful. (Ask the owner for a brief tour!) The Valentino theme is so enchanting - even the menus are beautifully designed. And the food is amazing! It is so nice to have a good Italian restaurant back in Bayside.

My wife and I tried Valentino's ont he Green last night. We were both quite impressed with the decor. There are three different areas in the ala carte floor. One is woodsy and red. The second is slightly casual but classy. The third area is larger and, I suspect, is their more formal dining room. They have names for the rooms, but I do not remember them. We sat in the formal dining hall. Each room is well put together; clearly, they invested a lot of $ into the place. Our cocktails were actually quite decent. I ordered the calamari and my wife ordered the carpaccio. The calamari was slightly spicy, but good. The carpaccio was perfect. For entrees, we shared the short ribs and the swordfish. Both dishes were excellent. I wish they served more gravy for the short ribs (as it was very tasty), but the creamy polenta certainly reminded me of my mother's. The swordfish was the best I ever tasted. It was perfectly done, and was not dry at all. I ordered some grilled vegetable sides, which were good. The wine list is actually quite decent. They even have a wine director on the floor; though, not sure if its just on Friday nights. The desserts were a perfect finish to the very good dinner. We tried three desserts, and we were very pleased with all three. The service was very good. Interestingly, we sat next to Ambassador Khalilzad, former US Ambassador to the U.N. Pretty cool. My wife and I look forward to visint again shortly. I recommend this place.
